Jakarta — Minister of State-Owned Enterprises (BUMN) Erick Thohir has officially nominated himself as the General Chair of PSSI for the 2023-2027 period. The election for the general chairman of PSSI will be held at an Extraordinary Congress (KLB) on February 16, 2023.

The Minister of BUMN, Erick Thohir, stated emphatically that guts is indeed what is needed for the progress of Indonesian football.

“Actually, what we have to do is we have to have the guts to play clean football and also achieve football, that’s the most important thing,” he said.

It is also known that a number of figures also provided support for Erick Thohir. Some of these names include Kaesang Pangarep, Raffi Ahmad, Atta Halilintar to Baim Wong.

Furthermore, the BUMN Minister expressed his gratitude for the trust that had been given by the voters who supported him.

In addition, Erick Thohir revealed that so far there have been many theories and concepts in improving football, but no one has really been able to make it happen.

For this reason, he emphasized his duty to be able to ensure that all these dreams could come true.

“Thank you for the trust, but today’s task is to make sure whether our dreams together come true, let’s start working and we’ll see on February 16 (KLB),” said Erick Thohir.

On the same occasion, he also asked for opinions from members of the media regarding how national football has been managed so far.

According to him, the media crew is also an important aspect because they always oversee the process of developing Indonesian football.

Erick Thohir also explained that he was able to dismantle PSSI for future improvements for the advancement of Indonesian football.

For him there must be someone who is able to ensure that in the future no dirty hands enter PSSI.

“What according to media friends, is not serious, so it is dismantled to improve the future of national football. We have to make sure that in the future there won’t be dirty hands in Indonesian football, we have to fix this,” said Erick Thohir.

Previously, football observer, Justinus Lhaksana considered that Erick Thohir deserved to lead PSSI because of his active actions at the national and international levels.

“Why do I support Erick Thohir, one thing that no other candidate has is experience. We can’t buy experience,” said the man who is familiarly called coach Justin.

Furthermore, he said that Erick Thohir had been the CEO of Inter Milan, so he really understood the management of a professional club.
