39

The government ensures that stocks of fuel oil (BBM) are safe during the Eid al-Fitr 1444H momentum. Nevertheless , travelers are expected not to overdo it in refueling and always follow the advice of officers when carrying out homecoming .

The 2023 Eid Mudik flow has begun to be seen. In this regard, the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources has ensured that the availability of fuel stocks ahead of the Eid holiday is still in a safe stage.

From previous information , people who go home on Eid this year will experience a significant increase. Where, the Ministry of Transportation has predicted that there will be 123.8 million people returning to their hometowns.

The Head of the National Post for the ESDM Sector and also the Head of BPH Migas, Erika Retnowati said, in general the condition of fuel stocks is in a safe condition, both gasoline and gasoil with stock durability of more than 16 days .

In fact , to provide comfort and smoothness at this 2023 homecoming moment, BPH Migas and Pertamina have prepared 114 fuel terminals, 7,491 gas stations and 68 DPPUs as well as prepared additional facilities in areas with quite high demand.

In addition, added by the Director General of Oil and Gas, Tutuka Ariadji, to ensure the availability of fuel during the homecoming period, his party had carried out direct monitoring in the field.

Tutuka explained that last week his party had monitored the availability of fuel at gas stations along the Pantura route to Semarang and the preparations for the Eid Al-Fitr 1444 H holiday, according to him, his party was ready from planning and implementation.

Not only that, Tutuka also added that what must be understood is the availability of fuel stock this year will be greater than the previous year. Because this Eid holiday is longer so it requires more fuel consumption.

On a different occasion, Member of the Committee for Downstream Oil and Gas Regulatory Agency (BPH Migas) Eman Salman Arief also stated the readiness of supply and distribution at the Rewulu BBM Terminal and a number of public refueling stations (SPBU) in DIY to serve the needs of the community during the 2023 Eid al-Fitr period .

During his visit to Rewulu, DIY, Eman also stated that the stock and distribution of fuel during the RAFI post period went well, under control and safely.

Eman said, his party went to TBBM Rewulu to ensure its readiness to supply gas stations, including to Adisutjipto Airport and Yogyakarta International Airport (YIH). Pertamina has done this.

Prior to Rewulu, Eman visited SPBU 44.552.11 in Yogyakarta City and SPBU 44.556.03 in Kulon Progo Regency to ensure the reliability of the two gas stations’ services to the public.

In general, stock availability and fuel distribution are safe and running smoothly, including certain types of fuel (JBT) and special types of fuel for assignment (JBKP). It was recorded that JBKP stock resilience in the Central Java region reached 11 days and JBKP for 16 days .

As for the period of the RAFI Task Force, consumption in the transportation sector for JBKP is expected to increase by 31 percent compared to normal consumption. Conversely, JBT is predicted to fall 1.5 percent against normal sales.

The monitoring team also pays special attention to health, safety, security and environment (HSSE) aspects in the storage and distribution of fuel to the public.

Not only that, Pertamina has also alerted safety officers at gas stations to ensure that HSSE activities can run well. The rescue officers have been trained to deal with emergencies that may occur at gas stations.

Pertamina Patra Niaga has increased stocks by an average of 13.5 percent for fuel oil (BBM), LPG and avtur products since early April 2023 compared to stocks in March, in anticipation of homecoming and joint holidays.

This increase inventory stock of USD 325 million . With this increase, all product stock has been maintained at a safe level.

In general, the need for gasoline or petrol will increase by around 10 percent, LPG will increase by 3 percent and Avtur will increase by around 7 percent. As for gasoil or diesel fuel, it is estimated to decrease by around 8 percent due to the prohibition of heavy vehicles operating during the homecoming and returning Eid.

To ensure that the energy distribution and supply process runs smoothly, Pertamina has coordinated with various stakeholders. Close coordination has been carried out with the local government and BNPB to anticipate bad weather and plan, as well as coordination with the police to escort tankers or motorcycle services when traffic jams occur. This coordination is certainly necessary in order to maximize Pertamina’s services to travelers.

Fuel stocks . This certainly deserves to be appreciated as a form of the Government’s commitment to optimally organizing homecoming.
