Government Involves Cross-Sector Collaboration to Build AMN as a Youth Empowerment Center
MANADO — The Government of the Republic of Indonesia (RI) is involving cross-sector collaboration in building the Nusantara Student Dormitory (AMN) as an empowerment center for youth in the country.
Head of the North Sulawesi Regional Settlement Infrastructure Center (BPPW Sulut), Nurdiana Habibie, said that AMN Manado was built magnificently.
No half-hearted, the land area reaches 20 thousand square meters with a building area of 1,595 square meters.
In terms of the scope of construction, there are towers for men’s and women’s dormitories.
“Not only that, but AMN also has a meeting hall, multi-purpose room, sports field, garden, road access and parking area,” said Nurdiana.
Furthermore, he stated that with full support from various parties, it would further encourage the success of AMN’s development.
“We really hope for support from all parties involved, so that the construction of AMN Manado can run well,” said the Head of North Sulawesi BPPW.
Meanwhile, from the Higher Education side, Deputy Chancellor I for Academic Affairs at Sam Ratulangi University (Unsrat) Manado, Prof. Grevo Soleman Gerung expressed his very high appreciation and full support for the development of AMN.
“Under the direction and instructions of the Ministry of Education and Culture, Unsrat Manado provides full support and support for the development of AMN Manado,” he said.
On the other hand, the Head of the State Intelligence Agency (BIN), Police General (Ret.) Prof. Dr. Budi Gunawan explained that in AMN, young people will receive a lot of guidance to uphold the values of Pancasila.
“In accordance with the direction of the President, the aim of building AMN is to become a model for a home of diversity, a home with the archipelago, for the nation’s young generation of students. “(AMN was created) by carrying out the values of Pancasila and Bhinneka Tunggal Ika,” he said.
For information, AMN construction has been underway in Surabaya and Manado, but the government will continue to intensify this strategic project in various other areas such as Yogyakarta, Makassar, Jakarta and Malang.
The development of AMN itself is a collaborative effort under the responsibility of various ministries and institutions such as the State Intelligence Agency (BIN), Ministry of Defense, Ministry of PUPR, Ministry of Education and Research and Technology.
Then, there is also collaboration with the Ministry of Religion, Ministry of Maritime Affairs and Fisheries, Universities and the local Regional Government.
