Greeted with Proud and Emotions, the Achievements of the Indonesian Esports National Team Enter the World’s Top Board
Jakarta — Greeted with pride and emotion, the achievements that have been made by the Indonesian esports National Team (Timnas) are able to enter the top ranks in the world.
Regarding this matter, the General Chairperson of the Indonesian Esports Board (PB ESI), General Pol (Purn) Budi Gunawan even revealed that he could not say any more because of how proud he was to know the many proud achievements the Indonesian esports National Team had achieved.
“All of us on behalf of PB ESI are very proud, touched, it’s hard to say in words. A very proud achievement, “he said, Wednesday (14/12/2022).
Furthermore, General Pol (Purn) Budi Gunawan explained how the mission of the association he leads is to continue to encourage Indonesian esports to develop.
According to him, at least the minimum target that must be achieved by the Indonesian esport ecosystem is to be at the forefront in Asia.
“Our mission is to encourage the growth of esports in the country by making Indonesia the most active and attractive esports center, at least in Asia,” said General Pol (Purn) Budi Gunawan.
It is undeniable, with lots of support, coaching and providing facilities that PB ESI has been providing optimally so far, Indonesian esports athletes have been able to continue to show their quality in the Indonesia Esports Summit: Bali 14Th World Esports Championships 2022.
General Pol (Purn) Budi Gunawan said that all athletes were able to very optimally take advantage of how the progress of the ecosystem had been attempted so far by PB ESI.
What’s more, they all have a strong seriousness in training and also a strong determination to continue to give their best and make this nation proud on the world stage.
“The achievement in Bali (IESF 14th WEC Bali 2022) shows that Indonesian esports athletes have been able to take advantage of the ecosystem that we have built with full sincerity, professionalism and creativity. This is the result of the seriousness of practicing and the determination to give the best performance for the good name of the nation,” said the Head of PB ESI.
So far, the maximum support that has been continuously provided by PB ESI under the leadership of Budi Gunawan will continue to ensure that esports really develops, so that it is no longer seen as just a game.
However, according to him, there are lots of positive values from electronic sports for Indonesia’s younger generation.
Even with esports, it is possible to hone the abilities of the younger generation to create a superior generation.
Moreover, esports can also help in developing and advancing several sectors at once, such as the economic, social and cultural sectors.
“PB ESI wants to ensure that the development of esports in Indonesia is not just a type of game. However, it must be developed so that it has many other benefits for the development of the younger generation. Apart from the game aspect, esports is useful for honing the abilities of young people to become a superior generation. Likewise, we are aiming for esports to become a new sport that is growing rapidly with great economic, social and cultural potential,” said Budi Gunawan.
