Head of BIN: We are Very Optimistic, the BIN Volleyball Team Can Become Proliga Champions in 2024
Jakarta – The State Intelligence Agency (BIN) launched and released the men’s team (Jakarta STIN BIN) and women’s team (Jakarta BIN) to take part in the 2024 Indonesian Proliga professional volleyball competition which will last for 4 months from 25 April to 21 July 2024.
The launching and release event for the BIN men’s and women’s volleyball teams was also attended by the Head of BIN, Police General (Ret.) Prof. Dr. Budi Gunawan, SH, M.Si, Main Secretary (Sestama) of BIN who is also Chair of PORBIN, Komjen Pol. Drs. Bambang Sunarwibowo, SH, M.Hum, main BIN officials, coaches and officials of Jakarta STIN BIN and Jakarta BIN, players of Jakarta STIN BIN and Jakarta BIN and other guests.
Head of BIN, Police General (Ret.) Prof. Dr. Budi Gunawan, SH, M.Si, said that this is the tradition at the State Intelligence Agency. Opportunity to gather here to launch and release our proud team. Please continue to maintain BIN’s good name by giving your best, having a fighting spirit to never give up.
“We release our fighters to win. It is very appropriate for us to leave with a ceremony because it will bring a good name. We are very optimistic that the BIN volleyball team will be a member of the gathering of national athletes. All theories say that if you work hard, you will succeed 70 percent of the time. “Good luck fighting for the good name of BIN,” said the Head of BIN at GOR BIN Pejaten Jakarta, Sunday (21/04).
Meanwhile, the Main Secretary (Sestama) of BIN, Komjen Pol. Drs. Bambang Sunarwibowo, SH, M.Hum said that the formation of the BIN men’s volleyball team and women’s team was a follow-up to BIN’s hopes, commitment and attention under the leadership of Police General (Ret.) Prof. Dr. Budi Gunawan, SH, M.Si, to improve coaching and welfare for national volleyball athletes.
“So this is the right momentum for athletes to be more enthusiastic about improving their achievements. Indonesian volleyball players have extraordinary potential and quality. so that we can continue to excel and make the name of the Indonesian nation proud on the world stage,” said Bambang.
He added that the BIN volleyball team has recruited the best volleyball athletes, not only at the national level, but also at the international level. They were selected for approximately one month starting from February 11 to March 1 2024. The development of the volleyball ecosystem and sports industry is increasingly rapid and is able to attract more enthusiasm from the wider community on an international scale.
“This year’s Proliga event is a golden opportunity for all BIN volleyball team players to compete in the highest professional volleyball competition in Indonesia, both on a national and international scale,” concluded Bambang.
For your information, the BIN men’s and women’s volleyball teams are ready to appear in the 2024 Proliga with a luxurious squad filled with top volleyball players with a wealth of achievements and experience. Jakarta STIN BIN succeeded in bringing in a number of Indonesian national team players as well as foreign players and was coached by a Japanese coach of Iranian descent, Ryan Masajedi.
The Jakarta STIN BIN men’s team relies on Rivan Nurmulki and Dimas Saputra who play as opposite hitters. Apart from these two players, Jakarta STIN BIN is also strengthened by the Serbian national team player in the 2019 Volleyball Nations League (VNL), Stefan Kovacevic as a middle blocker.
Meanwhile in the women’s squad, Jakarta BIN is strengthened by Megawati Hangestri Pertiwi who shines in the Korean women’s volleyball league with Red Sparks. Together with Jakarta BIN, Megawati expressed her target in Proliga 2024 and is determined to use all her abilities to reap positive results. He is also committed and working hard to make Jakarta BIN become Proliga champion.
