Bali – Indonesia is known worldwide for successfully holding various international standard activities. Even now, Indonesia has gained the trust to hold the 10th World Water Forum (WWF) which will be held in Nusa Dua Bali from 18 to 25 May 2024.

Expert Staff to the Minister of Public Works and Public Housing (PUPR) for Economics and Investment, Dadang Rukmana, said that the largest international forum in the water sector has been held every three years since 1997.

“It’s not just a conference but includes a three-year preparation phase for one week of the event, and the delivery of the results of activities with the support of various parties to realize joint action, so that the culminating event can be one week,” he told the media.

Please note that WWF’s mission is to provide a platform for all stakeholders in the water sector to discuss, share knowledge and experience, and create concrete ideas for better management and development of water resources.

“Apart from that, it will also encourage innovative thinking in overcoming current issues and problems in water resources management, increasing the commitment and action of policy makers in the management and development of sustainable water resources,” said Dadang.

According to Dadang, Indonesia is very fortunate to host this very prestigious international event, because there is a lot of evidence of the government’s efforts to manage water resources in a way that can be sustainable.

Meanwhile, the Head of South Kuta Subdistrict, I Ketut Gede Arta, said that hundreds of Penjor were ready to welcome the arrival of the delegation to the 10th WWF Summit.

Penjor is a decoration made from curved bamboo sticks decorated with coconut leaves as a symbol of happiness and fertility

According to the Head of South Kuta Subdistrict, hundreds of Penjors have been installed from the Ngurah Rai Airport Area to the Nusa Dua Area.

“The number of penjors installed from Ngurah Rai Airport to The Nusa Dua area reached 152,” said Gede Arta

They hope that the installation of Penjor will add to the aesthetics of Bali. He also hopes that the implementation of the 10th WWF can run safely and smoothly.

“We always work together, because this is an international event, hopefully it can run smoothly,” he hoped. [-ed]
