KST’s Decisive Action on Shooting Community Health Center Workers in Papua

80
The Papuan Separatist and Terrorist (KST) group has acted again by shooting construction workers for the Community Health Center (Puskesmas) project in Puncak Regency, Central Papua Province.
Separatist gangs on the Earth of Cenderawasih continue to spread terror without stopping.
It was reported that several of the workers on the construction project to work on the Puskesmas died.
Three of them were reported killed and two others injured due to the shooting carried out by KST Papua.
Regarding this matter, the Head of Cartenz Peace Operations, Police Commissioner (Kombes Pol) Faizal Ramadhani said that the victims were workers who were building a community health center in Jimbul Village, West Beoga District.
According to him, the telecommunications network in that location is quite minimal.
This has clearly become one of the real obstacles faced by officers.
Moreover, there were only a few security officers on duty at that time in Beoga.
The police station there apparently only contained three to five people.
As is known, KST Papua has repeatedly carried out many acts of terror, both against civilians and targeting the security forces of the Indonesian National Army (TNI) and the Indonesian National Police (Polri).
The terrorist group acted by opening fire, including disrupting airport flights and even setting fire to planes.
Three workers on the West Beoga Community Health Center construction project were killed, namely Named Satiman, Triyono and Suyanto.
Meanwhile, the two other victims who survived were Nurali and Alfian.
They survived because they were protected by local residents in the church.
The five workers received attacks from KST Papua led by Aibon Kogoya, even indiscriminately.
Regarding this, the Head of the Papua Regional Police (Kapolda), Inspector General of Police (Irjen Pol) Mathius Fakhiri said that the attack took place at 15:00 Eastern Indonesian Time (WIT).
The construction project workers were attacked by a separatist gang using several weapons, including firearms (senpi) and also using machetes.
With this incident, the Papua Police Chief then deeply regretted the attitude of the Company because it continued to employ the victims.
This is because previously the security forces themselves had given a warning to the company to temporarily stop activities because there was a large potential for disruption from KST Papua, especially ahead of December 1 2023.
The case of the massacre of West Beoga Community Health Center construction workers was discovered after a resident reported it to the local Koramil at around 16:30 WIT.
The witness said that there had been an attack by KST on construction workers at 15:00 WIT.
After receiving the report, the Danramil 1717-03 / Beoga along with members of the Beoga Sector Police (Polsek) and soldiers of the Beoga Post Task Force (Satgas) YR 300 as well as the Mobile Brigade (Brimob) Den A Raja City immediately moved quickly to pick up residents who evacuated victims.
At around 18:00 WIT, the entire group evacuating victims from the attack arrived at the Beoga Community Health Center carrying three bodies and two survivors.
In response to this incident, personnel from the Cartenz Peace Task Force will immediately go to Beoga to hunt down the perpetrators and take firm action against them so that similar incidents do not happen again because they greatly hinder the development efforts being intensified by the government, including causing harm to many other communities.
This act of violence carried out by KST Papua was not the first time this had occurred.
They continued to carry out massacres indiscriminately, including targeting civilians and even the security forces themselves.
All the actions they are carrying out are clearly crimes against humanity that cannot be justified in any way.
Moreover, most of the objects of massacre or violence came from civilians or indigenous Papuans (OAP) themselves.
Even though it is clear that even in the laws of war (
humanitarian law ), these groups are prohibited from being attacked or fought.
Head of the Terrorism Studies Study Program at the University of Indonesia (UI), Muhammad Syauqillah, assessed that the series of terror acts carried out by KST Papua against civil society certainly added to the urgency of handling this problem amidst the government’s incessant efforts to accelerate infrastructure development for the welfare of the Papuan people.
However, on the other hand, actually all parties have a great interest in being able to see the future of the Cenderawasih Earth Development.
So if, for example, there is continuous conflict or interference from parties with different ideologies from the Republic of Indonesia, this will of course cause Papua to experience increasingly obstacles and backwardness in development.
Continuing to spread terror and seemingly not knowing the word stop, KST Papua acted out again by shooting project workers who were building a community health center in Puncak Regency, Central Papua.
