Jakarta – The speech by the Chairperson of PDIP Megawati about recitation is not a ban but seeks to emphasize the importance of proportional time management in childcare patterns to prevent stunting. The polemic over this issue should also be ended in order to avoid the politicization of religion.

The concern of a national figure, namely Megawati Soekarnoputri, for efforts to really reduce the stunting rate which is still quite high in Indonesia. She conveyed this to mothers in a wiser way in managing time so that they could be far more proportional in taking care of the house and children.

In this regard, the Deputy Minister of Religion (Wamenag) KH Zainut Tauhid Sa’adi admitted that he had good prejudice against Megawati Soekarnoputri’s words regarding women reciting recitations. According to him, the intention of the chairman of the Indonesian Democratic Party of Struggle (PDIP) had absolutely nothing to do with the ban.

In fact, he added that the intention uttered by Megawati Soekarnoputri was related to being able to invite the audience, especially mothers, regarding the importance of managing time so that it can be more proportional.

Not without reason, indeed the duties of a mother herself must be divided a lot, that is, including how a mother is responsible for taking care of the house. This includes being able to care for and guide children, as well as educators for a child at home. When mothers cannot manage their time properly, of course these tasks will also be disrupted and cannot be carried out optimally.

So it is very clear that according to the Vice Minister of Religion, what Megawati Soekarnoputri put forward was not related to a ban on attending recitations. Furthermore, according to the Deputy Minister of Religion, participating in recitation activities is a good thing, but parents, especially mothers, are also advised to be able to manage their time.

Precisely do not for reasons of recitation then leave other obligations that must be done at home. KH Zainut Tauhid Sa’adi also said that the intention of Megawati Soekarnoputri was in the form of a constructive criticism of how the recitation practice had been taking place in society. Moreover, Megawati is also a Muslim.

Meanwhile, the Chairman of the PDIP DPC for Solo City, FX Hadi Rudyatmo also stated that there was absolutely no tendency to insult religion in Megawati’s words. In fact, the actual context of the statement was alluding to the problem of stunting in Indonesia and not related to the ban on recitation.

The Chairperson of the PDIP Solo DPC emphasized that Megawati was actually trying very hard to be able to reduce the stunting rate in the country, so that the words she issued were specifically addressed to mothers so that they could focus and concentrate more on managing and caring for their children, so that the growth and development of the optimal child.

Not without reason, because according to FX Hadi Rudyatmo, the effort to reduce the stunting rate itself is one of the important programs of the PDIP Party. In fact, these efforts have actually been made to monitor pregnant women and provide nutritious food assistance to those who are already experiencing stunting.

On the other hand, Deputy Chairperson of the Indonesian Ulema Council (MUI Waketum), Marsudi Syuhud said that indeed efforts to prevent cases of stunting from continuing in Indonesia in the family are the same as the reward for jihad.

The reason is that jihad itself actually has 3 (three) types, namely jihad using physical means, which was carried out by the heroes of the independence of the Unitary State of the Republic of Indonesia (NKRI) when expelling invaders from the country.

Then the second jihad is according to Kyai Marsudi Syuhud, namely an effort to continue to spread knowledge and education to the wider community. And the third type of jihad is by multiplying good deeds and good deeds which are indeed beneficial for all living beings in the world.

Meanwhile, it is very clear that efforts to prevent stunting as programmed by the PDIP and called for by Megawati Soekarnoputri are efforts to fight stunting and are included in the steps of pious practice which are beneficial to other living things on earth. It cannot be denied that the stunting rate in Indonesia itself is still quite high. Therefore, a person who really cares is needed to be able to really try to reduce the stunting rate. Megawati Soekarnoputri is a national figure and is a mother, thus giving many messages to other mothers regarding the importance of managing time proportionally.
