Papuan traditional leaders hope that the KST terror will be stopped quickly. If there are continuous attacks, it will be the people who are harmed, because KST’s actions always result in fatalities and injuries. KST must be eradicated so that Papua becomes safe and peaceful.
KST (Separatist and Terrorist Group) must be severely punished because they disrupt public order. Apart from that, KST also hinders development, because it has several times disrupted the Trans Papua road project. KST must be eradicated because the people of Papua are very disturbed by their actions and there should be no casualties among civilians.
Papuan traditional leader Yanto Eluay hopes that the KST terror will stop immediately. Traditional leaders as well as community leaders in Bumi Cenderawasih appealed to KST Papua to immediately stop all the acts of terror that they had been carrying out. They also firmly reject the existence of KST and OPM which seriously threaten the unity and unity of the Unitary State of the Republic of Indonesia.
Yanto Eluay added, the Unitary State of the Republic of Indonesia (NKRI) is a fixed price. He also emphasized that Papua itself had integrated with Indonesia even since the determination of the people’s opinion in 1969. So there is absolutely no place for KST and the Free Papua Organization (OPM) both in Papua and in Indonesia.
Yanto Eluay together with other Papuan community leaders such as Herman Yoku, Sem Kogoya and Max Ohee united and emphasized their rejection of KST and OPM. Not only that, but they also rejected any opinion which revealed that it was as if July 1 was OPM’s birthday. Even though none of the residents in Papua also celebrate it.
The entire community in Cenderawasih Earth respects what traditional leaders and community leaders have said, and they also follow instructions so as not to be easily triggered by issues that KST deliberately continues to spread.
The people themselves also understand that KST and OPM made a big mistake, because they really wanted to defect. KST also invites the people of Cenderawasih Earth to participate in rejecting it.
The rejection from traditional leaders and the community towards KST occurred because the separatist group had shot Sahar, a civilian who works as a repair shop worker in the Bilogai area, Sugapa District, Intan Jaya Regency, Central Papua Province. This tragic event occurred on Monday 30 January 2023, around 15.00 WIT.
Head of the Cartenz Damai Task Force, Kombes Faisal Ramadhani, confirmed that it was true that the victim had been shot and hit in the back. For now the victim is being treated at the Sugapa Health Center.
Indigenous leaders hope that the KST terror will stop immediately because their actions continue to occur. One of them was carried out by a group calling themselves Kodap XXXV/East Star, which is an organization led by Ananias Ati Mimin in Oksibil District, Gunung Bintang Regency, Central Papua Province.
KST members from any Kodap must be eradicated so they don’t disturb the community. They are worried because people are afraid to do activities outside, because they don’t want to end up like Sahar.
Papua’s progress can also be disrupted by the actions of KST which have made several threats to Papua’s national strategic projects. The entire series of atrocities and acts of terror have continued to occur since the beginning of 2023 and KST has made Papuan people uneasy.
The terrorist acts carried out by KST in 2023 began on January 7, 2023. At that time they shot a motorcycle taxi driver which in the end was able to trigger gunfire with security forces consisting of joint TNI and Polri personnel.
Two days after the incident, KST set fire to Vocational High School (SMKN) 1 Oksibil and they also shot again at the Ikairos cargo plane. Then on Wednesday 11 January 2023 they also set fire to the Oksibil District Population and Civil Registration Office (Dukcapil).
The number of terrors carried out by KST really disturbed the people and made them afraid to do activities outside the home. Therefore all traditional leaders urge their people to be aware of KST. They also do not remain silent when there is an attack. If there is a suspicious KST member, just report it to the authorities immediately.
Violence perpetrated by KST must be prevented so that there are no injuries or fatalities from civilians. Therefore, Papuan traditional leaders want the KST terror to stop immediately. Don’t let them carry out continuous attacks and harm the people of Cendrawasih Earth. The people and traditional leaders of Papua are united in supporting the apparatus in the context of eradicating KST.
