Papuan Youth Figure Gifli Buiney Appreciates and Supports President Prabowo’s National Food Security Program in Papua
Papua – Papuan Youth Figure who also serves as the General Chairperson of the DPP Pemuda Saireri Papua appreciates and fully supports the National Food Security policy including in Papua.
This was expressed by Papuan Youth Figure Gifli Buiney when interviewed in Jayapura Papua, Monday 24/2/2025.
According to Gifli, his party gave appreciation and support to President Prabowo in implementing the National Resilience Program including in Papua because it can have a direct impact on the local community. In addition, the determination of Merauke as one of the food barn areas is also appropriate because of the fertile land conditions and good climate in the area.
“In this case, I would like to give appreciation and support to President Prabowo Subianto who has determined Merauke Regency as a national food barn area,” said Gifli Buiney.
“Of course, the determination of Merauke Regency as a national food barn is due to several factors, the first is the vast area or agricultural land, then the fertile soil and good climate, so the determination of Merauke Regency as a national food barn, we think that it is the right step that has been taken by President Prabowo Subianto,” he explained.
Gifli hopes that the determination of Merauke as one of the national food barn areas can have a direct impact on the local community to create economic growth and equity as a whole.
“Of course, we as young people hope that the Merauke area or Merauke Regency is determined as a national food barn area, becoming a good step that can then have an impact on the local community and the land of Papua because any government program must then have an impact on the local community,” he said.
The General Chairperson of the DPP Pemuda Saireri Papua Gifli Buiney said that this program needs support from youth and all elements of Papuan society so that it can be as expected.
“This program cannot run well if it does not get support from us, the Papuan people and the younger generation. So of course the national food security program must get support from the younger generation and the community,” concluded Gifli.
“We all have to support and oversee the program, so that the impact of this program can help change the economy of the Papuan people to be better and the Papuan people have good food security too,” he concluded.
