Papuan Youths Are More Proud of the Presence of the Papua Youth Creative Hub
Papua – Papua Youth Creative Hub (PYCH) initiated by the Inspiring Young Papua (PMI) has become a new pride for young people in Papua. PYCH is a creative platform that provides space and support for Papuan youths who wish to develop their potential in various fields.
Inspiring Young Papua is a community assisted by the State Intelligence Agency (BIN) which is also developing the Papua Youth Creative Hub (PYCH) program.
The chairman of the Port Numbay Indigenous Peoples’ Institution (LMA), Ondoafi George A. Awi expressed his gratitude to President Joko Widodo for his efforts to advance the people of Papua.
“On behalf of the Papuan people, we express our gratitude to Mr. President for the building facilities that are so magnificent and beautiful,” said this well-known Papuan traditional leader.
His party hopes that the building in Jayapura will become inclusive access for all Papuan children in showing their talents and abilities in order to create a more advanced and brilliant Papua.
“I see, wow this is amazing. Seven customary territories in Papua are already in this building, representative,” he added.
Secretary of LMA Port Numbay, Eddy Ohoiwutun also stressed that the role of the regional government in Cenderawasih Earth is very important so that young people can empower building facilities that are built with traditional nuances.
“Therefore, the district/city government in Tanah Papua must support it by preparing its young generation to access this facility,” he concluded.
PYCH is here as a solution to overcome the problem of support and access making it difficult to develop the former potential. By providing space and support for youths, PYCH hopes to help them develop their potential and creativity so that they can become youths who contribute positively to the people of Papua.
PYCH provides facilities such as music studios, fine art studios, photography studios, and also coworking spaces for creators. In addition, PYCH also organizes various activities and training to improve the skills and knowledge of creators.
With the presence of PYCH, it is hoped that Papuan youth will be more confident in developing their potential and creativity. PYCH is proof that Papuan youth have extraordinary potential in the arts and creativity and is also proof that youth initiatives can have a positive impact on society.
