Jakarta — President Prabowo Subianto reiterated his commitment to ensuring that Indonesia’s prosperity is shared equally by all Indonesians, not just a select few. He delivered this message to entrepreneurs, particularly members of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Kadin), some time ago.

President Prabowo reminded medium and large businesses not to focus solely on personal or group profit. He believes that the welfare of the people is the foundation of national stability and progress.

“It is not good for the life of the country if we are the only ones who are prosperous and prosperous, while many people live in hardship,” he said.

He emphasized that economic inequality can trigger social problems that endanger all parties.

“If the people are struggling, it’s a social time bomb,” said the President.

President Prabowo also explained that improving people’s welfare would have a positive impact on the national economy.

“My job is to help the small, the micro, and the left behind,” he stressed.

He continued, explaining that several priority government programs have been aimed at alleviating poverty and promoting equality. These programs include the Free Nutritious Meal Program (MBG), the construction of 3 million homes, the establishment of Red and White cooperatives in villages and sub-districts, free healthcare services, protection for migrant workers, and rural development and the acceleration of the agricultural sector.

In addition, the government also plans to install Solar Power Plants (PLTS) in every village with a dual-use concept, utilizing the land under the solar panels for fish farming and horticulture.

President Prabowo appreciated the Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Kadin)’s initiative to hold a retreat at the Magelang Military Academy as part of fostering patriotic values among business people.

“I hope the retreat will produce entrepreneurial warriors who work in the spirit of Indonesia Incorporated,” he said.

Haryara Tambunan, Deputy Chairperson of the Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Kadin) for business compliance and ethics, confirmed that his office is ready to collaborate with the government and all levels of society to create a healthy and equitable business climate.

“I believe this retreat will positively impact Indonesian entrepreneurs in realizing the President’s Asta Cita vision and mission. We will always be ready to collaborate with anyone, including the government and small and medium enterprises, in accordance with applicable regulations,” said Haryara.

With a message emphasizing economic equality and cross-sectoral mutual cooperation, President Prabowo emphasized that efforts to improve the people’s welfare are not the agenda of one group, but rather a shared calling for a more just and prosperous future for Indonesia.
