Labuan Bajo – President Joko Widodo said the vision of ASEAN 2045 must be more adaptive and should not be as usual. President Jokowi invited ASEAN leaders to be transformative with the current conditions.
“The ASEAN 2045 vision must be more adaptive and forward looking, not business as usual. In today’s discussion we must be able to elaborate thoughts that are out of the box and transformative,” said President Jokowi when opening the ASEAN Leaders’ Interface with High-Level Task Force on ACV at the 42nd ASEAN Summit in Labuan Bajo, East Nusa Tenggara, Wednesday 10/5/2023.
Jokowi appreciated the hard work of members of the high level task force in the past year. He said, ASEAN must really be ready to face increasingly complex challenges.
“I appreciate the efforts of the High-Level Task Force in the past year, and ASEAN must be prepared to face challenges both regionally and globally which are increasingly complex, by anticipating all the worst possibilities,” said President Jokowi.
