President Jokowi’s Efforts to Change the Youth Empowerment Paradigm, the Government Inaugurates the AMANAH Program

The government inaugurated a regional youth human resources (HR) development program, especially in Aceh, known as AMANAH, an abbreviation for ‘Aneuk Muda Aceh Excellent and Great.’
This initiative is one of President Jokowi’s strategic steps to empower the young generation in the regions by providing concrete support in developing skills and capacity.
By focusing on leading sectors such as agriculture, fisheries and the creative economy, this program aims to maximize the potential of Acehnese youth so they can compete nationally and internationally.
The active role of the younger generation in developing the modern agricultural sector is very important. With support from AMANAH, youth are expected to be able to innovate and apply the latest technology to increase agricultural productivity.
The existence of this program can be the main driver in changing the agricultural paradigm in Aceh. With enthusiasm and hard work, Aceh has the potential to achieve significant progress and make a major contribution to community welfare and national food security.
Youth empowerment not only aims to improve skills, but also to raise the image of Aceh. If youth are not involved in the development and empowerment process, it will be difficult for the region to be known positively.
In line with President Jokowi’s vision, the AMANAH program is a forum for young people to gather, exchange ideas and build strong networks in the economic sector. Imam Gunawan, a student at Abul Yatama University, explained that the Aneuk Muda Aceh Excellent and Great program provides a platform for young people to improve the business ecosystem at the Veranda of Mecca.
According to him, collaboration between BIN and youth is very necessary to accelerate regional economic growth. With this program, the younger generation has the opportunity to develop their potential, which will lead to Aceh’s economic progress.
Atha Fayyadh, one of the AMANAH volunteers, emphasized that this program is President Jokowi’s flagship initiative in the field of empowerment in Aceh. The focus of this program covers various areas of the creative economy, including agriculture and fisheries.
Through training and outreach, AMANAH provides the knowledge and skills needed so that youth can contribute to these sectors. With comprehensive training, participants are expected to be able to understand and implement appropriate strategies to advance the field they are working in.
President Jokowi also emphasized the importance of the younger generation having skills in science and technology. In the current digital era, the younger generation must be able to utilize technology to increase their competitiveness.
The various skills of the younger generation receive optimal encouragement through AMANAH, this includes training that focuses on mastering information technology, business management and digital marketing. With this ability, it is hoped that Acehnese youth can contribute to more sustainable economic development.
Apart from that, the President also emphasized that education is not just about obtaining high academic scores, but must also be accompanied by good morals and character. A balance between knowledge and good character is very important for the younger generation.
Thus, AMANAH focuses not only on improving skills, but also on building good character among Acehnese youth. This program creates future leaders who are not only competent but also have noble values.
