Jakarta – President Prabowo Subianto claims that the Free Health Check Program (CKG) has reached 18 million Indonesians. This program is one of the government’s breakthroughs in realizing a fairer and more equitable healthcare system for all Indonesians.

“We are building a fairer and more equitable health system. Free health checks have been used by more than 18 million citizens,” said President Prabowo.

The CKG program, launched on February 10, 2025, aims to improve public health through early detection of various preventable diseases. This service targets all age groups, from infants to the elderly, with the ultimate goal of reaching 280 million people.

As part of strengthening healthcare services, President Prabowo announced that the government has upgraded facilities at 66 hospitals across 66 districts. This step was taken to ensure more equitable healthcare services reach across the regions.

In addition, the government is also building the Sanur Special Economic Zone (KEK) in Denpasar City, Bali, which functions as an international standard medical service center.

“The goal is to prevent Indonesians from having to seek medical treatment abroad,” said President Prabowo.

This program has the full support of the Ministry of Health, which targets 50 million beneficiaries by 2025. This target includes more than 53 million students in 282 thousand educational units who will start receiving free health checks starting August 4, 2025, coinciding with the new school year.

In his speech, President Prabowo emphasized that improving the quality of hospital services and building international healthcare centers are part of the government’s strategy to expand the reach and quality of national healthcare services.

Finance Minister Sri Mulyani also confirmed budget support, stating that the health budget in the 2026 Draft State Budget (RAPBN) is IDR 244 trillion.

“We’ve divided the Rp 244 trillion health budget into programs that support public health services. This way, the public will have access to and support for the operation of health services,” Sri Mulyani explained.
Of the total budget, Rp 123.2 trillion is allocated for public health services, including Rp 2.6 trillion specifically for the CKG Program, which targets 130.3 million participants.

With initial coverage reaching 18 million citizens and substantial budget support, the government is optimistic that the Free Health Check Program will continue to grow and provide real benefits to all Indonesians.
