BOGOR – President Prabowo Subianto inaugurated the Fast Best Results Program (HTC) in a series of commemorations of National Education Day (Hardiknas) 2025 held at SDN 05 Cimahpar, North Bogor, West Java. In his speech, the President emphasized that education is the main path to the glory of the nation.
“We cannot be a great country and its people prosperous without good education. Education is the key to making the nation smart and building the future,” said President Prabowo in front of the students, teachers, and officials present.
The HTC program, the President continued, is a real form of government support for the education sector. One of its priorities is to rebuild damaged schools and improve teacher welfare. The government is targeting revitalization of more than 10 thousand schools by 2025, with a budget reaching Rp16.9 trillion.
“If our children learn in leaky and damaged classrooms, how can they grow up comfortably? We must ensure they learn in a safe and decent place,” Prabowo said.
Minister of Primary and Secondary Education, Abdul Mu’ti, explained that teachers are also an important concern in this program. “The President will provide assistance of Rp3 million per semester for teachers who have not completed D4 or S1 education. In addition, honorary teachers will receive assistance of Rp300 thousand per month,” explained Mu’ti.
The Presidential Communication Office’s Chief Expert, Hariqo Satria, added that almost 40 percent of classrooms in Indonesia are in a state of mild to severe damage. He emphasized the importance of infrastructure support to produce a superior generation.
“We can’t talk about Golden Indonesia if children are studying in damaged and unsuitable classrooms,” Hariqo said. “The President wants Indonesian children to have a bright future, high income, and be able to compete internationally.”
The HTC program also carries the mission of digitalizing education. Widyaprada, the main expert of the Ministry of Education and Culture, Jumeri, said that schools such as SD Negeri 2 Purwokerto Wetan will be used as a pilot for the revitalization and digital learning program.
The launch of HTC shows President Prabowo’s commitment to strengthening the foundation of national education, while also being a concrete step in building decent educational facilities for the future of Indonesia’s young generation.
