Rejecting ideology that conflicts with Pancasila, efforts to fight radicalism towards the 2024 elections
Rejecting all ideologies or teachings that are in conflict with the basic philosophy of the state, namely Pancasila, is a concrete effort from all elements of the nation to continue to be intensified, especially so that we can fight the spread of radicalism, especially towards the 2024 General Election.
Efforts to continue to prevent the spread of fake news or hoaxes as well as the spread of radicalism are indeed very important things to continue to intensify, especially when approaching the implementation of the democratic party and political contestation in the General Election (Pemilu) in 2024.
Regarding this, Muhammad Tarmizi, Chairman of the Coordinating Branch of the Indonesian Islamic Student Movement (PKC PMII) in North Sumatra (North Sumatra) Province, revealed that hoaxes and radicalism are indeed common enemies. So, as a good citizen, it is obligatory for us to be able to reject all forms of division and be able to reject the existence of ideologies that are completely contrary to the implementation of the ideology in the basic philosophy of the Indonesian state, namely Pancasila and the implementation of the Constitution of the Republic of Indonesia. 1945.
As young people who are the next generation of the nation, as well as educated people such as students, they must continue to be able to guard the nation’s ideology and also have a very strong commitment in continuing to fight for all the ideals of independence in the country, because it is in accordance with the noble ideals desired. by the founding fathers of the nation.
Apart from coming from the community as well as students and young people, but no less important there must also be a very real response from the government of the Republic of Indonesia (RI) to be able to prevent the spread of fake news or hoaxes and the notion of radicalism which is increasing day by day. , especially if it is approaching or before the implementation of the democratic party and political contestation in the General Election (Pemilu) in 2024.
The public must continue to be enlightened so that they can continue to increase their awareness regarding how to digest all kinds of information obtained from various types of social media or dissemination in digital spaces such as the current era.
Moreover, recent technological advances have resulted in an explosion in the use of social media in society, which has made the flow of information very fast and difficult to stop, even filtering whether the information is valid and credible or not has also become increasingly difficult because all parties have potential. who are the same in producing their own versions of the discourse.
There are also many people in the community who find it easy to continue to disseminate various kinds of news which they may only read briefly or only have the capital to read from the title, but as if they already know the entire contents and then send it to fellow friends via short messaging applications.
Of course, this incident can also be said to be very ironic, because quite a few people immediately believe whatever they see and read on social media and even continue to spread it so that the chain of spreading fake news or hoaxes becomes unstoppable.
For this reason, all young people who are the next generation of the nation must invite each other and also inform each other so that they can work together to fight the spread of hoaxes, hate speech and also understanding radicalism for the success of the General Election in 2024 and also to be able to welcome a more advanced Indonesia. the front.
As the 2024 General Election is about to start, one of the issues that deserves attention is the issue of security. The reason is, threats such as terrorism and acts of radicalism are very likely to occur.
The existence of this radical ideology is something that is very dangerous, because it is a precursor to acts of terrorism. Therefore, security must continue to be tightened in order to further anticipate the circulation of various kinds of ideas that are completely contrary to the nation’s ideology.
Starting from the possibility or potential threat of radical ideology ahead of the upcoming democratic party, various efforts to be able to prevent it must also continue to be carried out and intensified by all parties. This includes community leaders, ideally they can play an active role in encouraging their citizens to avoid this very dangerous thought. Towards the grand event of the General Election in 2024, it is indeed important for all elements and various groups of society in Indonesia to be able to reject the spread of understandings or ideologies that are completely contrary to the basic philosophy of the state, namely Pancasila as an effort to always fight radicalism.
