The construction of the National Archipelago Institute is fully supported by the native people of East Kalimantan. They are proud because their area is the site of the new capital city. There will be a lot of progress in Kalimantan thanks to the move of IKN.

The National Capital City (IKN) will be moved from DKI Jakarta to North Penajam Paser, East Kalimantan. The construction of the IKN continues to be carried out according to schedule, and it is planned that the Republic of Indonesia’s independence ceremony on August 17 2024 will be held at the IKN Nusantara Presidential Palace. The development of IKN is guaranteed to be environmentally friendly, therefore it is fully supported by all Indonesian people.

Residents in East Kalimantan fully support the development of IKN Nusantara. Minto, the initiator of the Magetan Association in North Penajam Paser, stated that he was ready to support the implementation of the construction of the National Archipelago’s IKN. He is also ready to cooperate with the TNI and Polri, for the smooth development of the Archipelago’s IKN in a safe and conducive situation. Hopefully the IKN Nusantara will be a blessing and prosperity for the entire nation and people of Indonesia.

The support from the people in East Kalimantan is invaluable because it will ensure the success of the development of the National Archipelago Institute. Residents will always pray that the project will be finished and on time, so that IKN Nusantara will be built gallantly.

The people of East Kalimantan support the construction of a new national capital because they realize that this will advance Indonesia and the people of Kalimantan in particular. Later a representative highway will be built so that people’s mobility will run smoother.

If there is support from the people of Borneo, it is certain that the transfer of the national capital will go well. There were no obstacles because all parties sincerely supported this transfer.

they are the hosts, although originally immigrants from Java. If there are workers who are also migrants, they will be warmly welcomed, resulting in mutually beneficial cooperation.

Moreover, Minto and the Magetan Association were originally immigrants in Kalimantan. They have mingled with the native people of Borneo. Later, if there are workers and residents from Java or other islands, they will be welcomed warmly and there will be no friction between the natives and the migrants.

Meanwhile, Suntoro, Chairman of the Berebes-Tegal-Pemalang (Bergalang) Association of Balikpapan City, said that as residents of Balikpapan City, the Bergalang Association is very happy and grateful for the transfer of the Archipelago’s National Capital to East Kalimantan.

Suntoro added, the Balikpapan City Galangal Association is ready to support and oversee as well as collaborate and synergize with all stakeholders, be it the Government, the TNI-Polri in overseeing the development of the IKN until it is actually realized as echoed by the President who plans to hold a ceremony later on August 17, 2024 in the Capital City of the Archipelago.

In a sense, the people in East Kalimantan not only support the construction of the National Archipelago Institute but at the same time oversee it until the project is 100% complete. IKN is a giant project so it cannot be done in just a few months. However, residents are also optimistic that the project will run on time and nothing will stall.

Development at IKN Nusantara is not only in physical form but also social development. The government is trying to have assimilation between immigrants and native people of Kalimantan. After all, currently in East Kalimantan the population is not only Dayak or Banjar people, but there have been migrants who have lived since the New Order era. The people of East Kalimantan already have Unity in Diversity and have a sense of unity.

The people of East Kalimantan are not worried that they will be eliminated when there are migrants there. The reason is because there is a wave of immigrants from Java, who work in the government sector and other sectors. But they don’t need to worry because the government has thought of a way for them to continue working as usual. The indigenous people of Borneo are guaranteed and will not be marginalized.

Meanwhile, a traditional Dayak Kenyah leader who is also an elder in East Kalimantan, Drs Laden Mering, SH, MH stated that the Dayak tribe strongly supports the development of the national capital in East Kalimantan. No society is against it. Laden also hopes that Dayak figures will sit and be involved in the construction of the new capital because they can be the driving force behind its development.

In a sense, the relocation of the national capital is fully supported by many parties. Not only the local government in North Penajam Paser, but also the Dayak people as native citizens of East Kalimantan. If there is support, the transfer will certainly run smoothly because there are no conflicts.

Residents in East Kalimantan fully support the construction of IKN Nusantara and they hope that this project will run smoothly and run according to schedule. There is no conflict between residents and workers or between indigenous people and migrants. IKN Nusantara will be built bravely and become the nation’s capital which is Indonesia’s future city.
