West Manggarai – The Regent of West Manggarai, Edistasius Endi asked the Regional Secretary, Francis Sales Sodo to form a special team to support the implementation of the 2023 ASEAN Summit and also finalize the preparations for this activity.
According to Regent Edi, the formation of the special team is very important because the ASEAN Summit is a big activity and cannot be taken lightly. Therefore, as the host, his party really wanted to make very thorough preparations and not play games.
“This is a large-scale activity, so as hosts we shouldn’t be playing games,” he said.
Regarding the special team being formed, Edi requested that the team be able to be involved in all matters of implementing the 2023 ASEAN Summit. In forming the special team, the Regional Secretary became the general chairperson, then the chief executive was Expert Staff, Elisabeth Maria Mersin.
“Immediately form a special committee. Place people according to their respective duties and functions,” Edi asked. Mr. Sekda enough as chairman. I directly appointed the daily chairman, Lisa’s mother. Why Lisa’s mother? Because I see him, his network is quite wide and his mobility is good,” he explained.
Then at the implementation level, according to Regent Edi, the main duties of the Chief Executive are to support the General Chair, while the Ketum himself coordinates all the special teams involved.
Regarding the appointment of the OPD Head who is the Special Staff of the Regent, he emphasized that all parties should not underestimate him.
“I don’t want to hear that there is an OPD head or anyone who takes it lightly, with the excuse that, ah, he is only a special staff for the regent. If anyone thinks so, report it to me or the deputy regent. I pointed him directly, “said Edi.
Meanwhile, preparations were also made in the health sector. The Head of the Health Service, Paul Mami explained that in general the Komodo Hospital was ready for use.
Not only that, but there will also be a cardiologist on standby and currently still being coordinated.
“The hospital is ready. We are still waiting for a number of facilities from Surabaya. Apart from the facilities, we are also coordinating the presence of a cardiologist, both with the provincial government and with the Ministry of Health,” concluded Mami.
