The 212 reunion that will be held by the Alumni Brotherhood (PA) 212 group is difficult to materialize because it is rejected by the community. This is because the event that caused the crowd was forced to be held in the midst of the Covid-19 pandemic, making it vulnerable to creating new clusters of Covid-19.
Ummat Party politician, Mustofa Nahwaradaya said that he was not so sure that this year’s 212 reunion agenda could be carried out as planned. He said that the event would be difficult to organize due to licensing issues.
Meanwhile, the Head of the Public Relations Division of the Metro Jaya Regional Police (Polda) Chief Commissioner (Kombes) Endra Zulpan stated that the Jaua Metro Police had not issued a crowd permit due to incomplete administrative requirements. want to have an activity.
The conditions that must be met are; crowd permit, crowd recommendation from the Covid-19 Task Force, location permit, recommendation letter from local police and attaching activity proposals that explain starting from activities, concepts, to the total mass present.
After all administrative requirements are met, the police will issue an STTP (Receipt Notification Letter) related to the crowd permit.
The Head of the Public Relations Division of the National Police Headquarters, Inspector General Dedi Prasetyo, has said that the National Police always reminds the public to always obey the health protocols (prokes). With the hope that during these activities there will be no new clusters.
One of the regional heads who did not recommend the Reunion 212 event was the Governor of West Java, Ridwan Kamil. He appealed to his citizens to avoid mass activities and the potential for transmission of Covid-19 during the pandemic.
Ridwan Kamin considered that such activities could violate the rules related to health protocols, because the Covid-19 pandemic has not been fully completed. Emil also predicted that it would be difficult to avoid crowds if the 212 Reunion was actually held.
Furthermore, Emil also said that if the activity was carried out, it would be difficult for field officers to ask the community not to congregate. Therefore, he appealed to the people of West Java to be able to restrain themselves.
On a different occasion PSI (Indonesian Solidarity Party) politician. Muannas Alaidid was surprised by the 212 Alumni Brotherhood group who insisted on holding a reunion at Monas on December 2, 2021, even though the current condition of Jakarta was still surrounded by Covid-19.
He was also surprised that the group’s goal of bringing the former governor of DKI Jakarta, Ahok, when he stumbled upon a blasphemy case had been fulfilled, but instead they wanted to hold an event called a reunion. He also sniffed at the many hidden agendas of the reunion event, the hidden agenda he meant was clearly a politically charged agenda.
He also reminded that Jakarta was not yet free from Pandemic even though it was included in the PPKM level 1 category. Rza also reminded that the conditions for Christmas 2021 and the new year of 2022 and the decline in DKI level to level 1 could trigger additional cases. Therefore, Riza invites the public to stay at home despite the high vaccination rate. Until now, PA 212 is still trying and insisting that the 212 grand reunion can be held in the Monas court.
Epidemiologist from Griffth University Dicky Budiman assessed that the rejection of the implementation of the 212 reunion was appropriate. He said that the public must avoid crowds so that the sloping Covid-19 case does not spike again.
Crowds must indeed be avoided as long as the pandemic is not over, we can reflect on this year’s Eid holiday, where 1 month after the Covid cases experienced a drastic increase, hospitals were overloaded until the death rate reached the most frightening point.
If Reunion 212 is an event that brings people from all over, of course the potential for transmission is very possible. So instead of insisting on holding a reunion at Monas, it is better to hold a virtual reunion.
The rejection of the implementation of the 212 Reunion does not mean that we are supporters of blasphemy, we must realize that the condition of this nation is improving so that cases of COVID-19 do not increase.
