Jakarta – Deputy Minister of Home Affairs Bima Arya Sugiarto announced that the simultaneous inauguration of regional heads will be held on February 20, 2025, at the State Palace in Jakarta. This inauguration marks an important moment in ensuring the continuity of governance at the regional level.

With the appointment of new leaders, the public’s expectations for progress continue to grow.

Therefore, support for the inauguration process is not merely a formality but also a reflection of the maturity of democracy. Deputy Minister Bima Arya Sugiarto confirmed that the inauguration will take place on February 20, 2025, at 10 a.m. at the State Palace, Jakarta.

During this event, 481 regional heads will take their oaths of office directly from President Prabowo Subianto.

“The inauguration will, God willing, be held at the State Palace at 10 a.m.,” said Bima.

Before the inauguration ceremony, the regional heads underwent mock rehearsals and final preparations on February 18-19, 2025.

In these sessions, they were given technical instructions regarding the ceremony and the proper procedures for the event.

Roy Jinto, the Chairman of the Confederation of Indonesian Trade Unions (KSPSI), emphasized his organization’s readiness to maintain a conducive atmosphere during the inauguration of regional leaders.

According to him, a smooth inauguration will have a significant impact on the governance system, especially regarding workers’ welfare.

“The inauguration of the regional leaders, led by President Prabowo, will soon take place. We are ready to ensure a conducive atmosphere in West Java,” Roy said.

Roy also highlighted the important role of labor groups in supporting the success of the new government, especially in matters related to workers’ rights.

He believes that if stability is maintained, government policies supporting the welfare of workers will be able to run smoothly.

“We are all here with the goal of ensuring that the government system related to workers’ welfare operates as intended,” he continued.

He also called on all members of society to help maintain security during the inauguration process.

In his view, coordination between labor groups, the public, and security forces is crucial to anticipating any potential tensions that could arise in some areas.

Meanwhile, the Chief of Staff of the Indonesian Air Force (KSAU), Air Marshal Tonny, confirmed that preparations for security measures have been put in place to ensure the inauguration runs smoothly and safely.

“We are ensuring national stability and security. This includes making sure the inauguration of the new regional heads takes place safely and successfully,” said Tonny.

In an official press release from the Indonesian Air Force, it was explained that the security for the inauguration is part of efforts to maintain political stability and national harmony.
