Synergy between Government and Security Forces to Create Conducive Crowded Areas During Eid al-Fitr

The government together with security forces succeeded in creating a conducive situation in all crowded areas during the celebration of Eid al-Fitr 1446 Hijriah. The strategic steps implemented showed high effectiveness in maintaining public security and comfort during the homecoming momentum and Eid celebrations. With solid coordination, various security efforts and mitigation of potential disturbances can run well.

Deputy for Security and Public Order Coordination (Kamtibmas) of the Coordinating Ministry for Political and Security Affairs (Kemenko Polkam) Brigadier General Pol. Asep Jenal Ahmadi has conducted a direct review of various security posts in the East Java region.

During the visit, evaluation of the readiness of security posts, health posts, and other strategic points became the main focus. Supporting infrastructure such as places of worship, rest areas, and public facilities were also inspected to ensure the comfort of the community during the homecoming flow and Eid celebrations.

The monitoring results show that the entire security system is functioning optimally. This success cannot be separated from the strong synergy between the police, TNI, and local governments. This cross-sector collaboration ensures that security in each region runs effectively.

The success in Madiun, for example, is one of the real proofs of how the active involvement of various parties is able to maintain security stability during the Eid celebration. Continuity of supervision at strategic points is also a top priority until the return flow is complete, in order to ensure public safety during the Eid holiday period.

Coordinating Minister for Political and Security Affairs (Menko Polkam) General Pol (ret.) Budi Gunawan emphasized the importance of cross-sector coordination in ensuring the smooth running of Eid al-Fitr celebrations.

In the coordination meeting attended by various ministries and related institutions, the readiness of public services was the main concern. The government ensured that all important aspects, from transportation, distribution of basic necessities, to security at strategic points, were in optimal condition.

Anticipatory efforts against potential security disturbances and natural disasters are also part of the mitigation strategy implemented. By involving various agencies such as BMKG, BNPB, and Basarnas, readiness to face the possibility of extreme weather or other incidents has been carefully designed. The availability of rapid response teams in various locations ensures that any potential disturbances can be handled immediately without hindering the smooth running of the Eid celebration.

The Ministry of Transportation together with the police have ensured the smoothness of land, sea, and air transportation during the homecoming and return flow periods. The availability of transportation modes and the supply of fuel oil (BBM) are crucial factors in supporting the smoothness of people’s travel. With the proactive steps taken, the homecoming and return flows can run smoothly without significant obstacles.

National Police Chief General Pol Listyo Sigit Prabowo has ensured the readiness of officers in overseeing the entire series of Lebaran activities. Predictions of the peak of the homecoming and return flows are the main reference in implementing traffic engineering strategies. Several steps that have been implemented include the odd-even system, contra flow, and one-way schemes on busy vehicle routes.

The implementation of Operation Ketupat 2025 is a concrete step in ensuring the safety of people’s travel. The existence of security posts, service posts, and integrated posts at various strategic points also helps in providing optimal service to travelers.

With the 110 hotline, people can easily access assistance when facing emergency situations while traveling. Standby posts spread across various points are also equipped with logistics, health services, and other supporting facilities.

The success in creating a conducive situation during the Eid celebrations confirms the government’s commitment to maintaining the comfort and security of the community at important moments such as the Eid homecoming. Strong synergy between various parties, ranging from security forces, local governments, to related agencies, is the main key to ensuring the smooth flow of homecoming, the stability of basic necessities prices, and security at various crowded points.
