The Archipelago IKN Project Has a Positive Impact on Society
It is felt that the development of the National Capital City (IKN) of the Archipelago will have a positive impact on the progress of the surrounding region, including the City of Balikpapan.
Head of the DPC Gepak Black Cloak, Balikpapan City, Mulya Wahyudi, assessed that the presence of IKN has created more open job opportunities and the products of Balikpapan city’s SMEs will also increase. Likewise the economic sector, the business world and tourism will also experience progress .
He admitted that the construction of the IKN in East Kalimantan had had a positive impact that he felt, namely an increase in the economy in Balikpapan City and a decrease in the number of unemployed.
Wahyu said, Balikpapan, which is currently the gateway to the IKN, has encouraged the Balikpapan City DPC Gepak Black Cloak to try to prepare superior human resources, so that later they can compete with outsiders/immigrants who both want to be involved and work in the new capital city. the.
In fairness, Wahyudi said that currently the obstacles his party is experiencing regarding the development of the IKN are that there are no trainings for local human resources and there is still a lack of attention given to them.
Due to the lack of opportunities to attend HR and skills training, it is feared that local workers will be unable to compete with outsiders/immigrants who already have better skills and abilities.
He hopes that the government can provide opportunities for residents in Kalimantan to take part in training so that later they can contribute to working at the IKN.
Even so, Wahyudi and all members of the Balikpapan DPC Gepak Black Cloak Ormas are ready to oversee the construction of the IKN. His party will also collaborate with the TNI-Polri and other parties who are also involved and ready to advance IKN.
If there are individuals or organizations that interfere with the IKN development process, the Black Cloak Gepak City of Balikpapan will be ready to install the body as the front guard and will oversee the construction of the IKN so that it continues to run smoothly and is completed according to the targets set by the government.
On a different occasion, the Ministry of Public Works and Public Housing (PUPR) revealed that human resource (HR) training for IKN development can improve the skills or expertise of the surrounding community.
Building an IKN, of course, must be with quality infrastructure and have aesthetic value. For this reason, it must also be equipped with qualified human resources, starting from contractors, consultants, field supervisors to the mason level.
For the training itself, there are several levels starting from the contractor level to the workers at the operational level. The PUPR Ministry provides all types of training needs that are really needed to work on the IKN project.
Meanwhile , the Head of the Governor’s Team to Supervise the Acceleration of Development (TGUP3) of East Kalimantan, Adi Buhari Muslim, acknowledged that the construction of the IKN in East Kalimantan apparently had an extraordinary positive impact.
He noted several major projects in the development of the Archipelago Capital City (IKN), for example health problems related to clean water with the construction of the Sepaku Semoi Dam, not only for the needs of IKN but also to meet the clean water needs of the City of Balikpapan .
In addition to dams, the construction of road and bridge infrastructure has also been carried out, for example KM 38 Semoi – Sepaku Petung which has been completely upgraded in good condition and will continue to be handled by the state budget for approximately 104 km.
Then in the Paser area to be precise in the conservation area in Teluk Adang, where currently the central government has released 50 thousand hectares, of course this includes the opportunity to build a port for the southern region and this is included in the state budget.
With the progress of the IKN development, of course the people in East Kalimantan must be able to seize the opportunities from every challenge that is present in the transfer of the IKN.
This is because there will be a circulation of very large amounts of money that will enter through the gates of the Archipelago Capital City (IKN), both from the State Budget and the public private sector.
In 2022 to 2024 alone, the central government has prepared funds of no less than IDR 43 trillion to build the central government core area in IKN, Sepaku, North Penajam Paser Regency.
The Governor of East Kalimantan, Isran Noor said, at the peak of the construction of the IKN there will be 200 thousand to 250 thousand workers. This is of course a big opportunity for the people of Sepaku and its surroundings.
He then assumed that there would be 200,000 workers, where every one worker who will build IKN infrastructure requires a minimum of IDR 50,000 per day for food and drink. If totaled, of course there will be billions of money circulating in the food sector.
Isran also admitted that the central government and the IKN transition team had started to conduct training so that the community could be involved in this process.
The development of the IKN will have an impact on the progress of East Kalimantan and its surroundings, where the development of the IKN will also be supported by the development of infrastructure and human resources.
