The government ensures that all preparations for the 10th WWF run smoothly

 Bali – The government emphasizes that everything has been well prepared to ensure the success of the 10th World Water Forum (WWF) in Bali which is scheduled to take place on 18 -24 May 2024.

The Regional Secretary (Sekda) of Bali Province, Dewa Made Indra, stated that Bali was ready to hold the 10th World Water Forum or WWF.

“Bali is the most appropriate place to hold very important, very large, very strategic events or activities,” said Indra.

The Bali Provincial Government is collaborating with the Central Government, TNI-Polri, and other stakeholders in preparing the delegation’s arrival point at I Gusti Ngurah Rai International Airport, mobility, logistics, and accommodation for holding the international forum.

Indra explained that each delegation would be greeted with a welcoming ceremony full of Balinese culture. Heads of state and heads of government who arrived at I Gusti Ngurah Rai International Airport were greeted with the typical dance of the Island of the Gods.

According to him, infrastructure is one aspect that received special attention in preparation for this event. Bali has prepared a modern and representative meeting venue to be a place for discussions and meetings for delegates. Apart from that, accommodation facilities, transportation and other supporting services have also been prepared to ensure participants’ comfort while in Bali.

On a different occasion, the Director General of Information and Public Communication at the Ministry of Communication and Information, Usman Kansong, said that WWF’s preparations were still being optimized, which included the event venue including the media center and telecommunications network infrastructure.

“Later, infrastructure arrangements will be carried out and efforts will be made to arrange the cables neatly. We have coordinated with hotels and restaurants around Jatiluwih that will be visited,” he said.

Kominfo also carries out substantive preparations, such as preparing material that is still dynamic depending on input from various parties. Kominfo continues to coordinate with the World Water Council (WWC) to agree on the themes being discussed.

The Indonesian government’s commitment to holding the 10th WWF event successfully also received appreciation from various parties. Stakeholders from various countries have acknowledged the efforts made by the Indonesian government in ensuring the implementation of this event runs smoothly and effectively.
