National stability is a primary requirement for sustainable development and public welfare. In the dynamic situation following numerous demonstrations in various regions, the role of the Indonesian National Armed Forces (TNI) and the Indonesian National Police (Polri) once again demonstrates the importance of synergy between state institutions. These two institutions stand at the forefront of maintaining security and order, as well as preventing anarchic actions that could potentially disrupt public life.
The Indonesian National Police Public Relations Division emphasized that TNI-Polri synergy is key to maintaining security stability after the demonstrations. Brigadier General Trunoyudo Wisnu Andiko, SIK, Head of Public Information of the National Police Public Relations Division, stated that this synergy is being implemented in concrete ways, including through large-scale joint patrols to provide a sense of security for the community. He stated that this demonstrates the state’s continued presence among the people. He emphasized that, on the President’s orders, the National Police and the TNI are fully focused on restoring security quickly and effectively.
Furthermore, the Indonesian National Police (Polri) also reminded the public of the importance of vigilance in responding to the rapid flow of information in the digital age. Brigadier General Trunoyudo emphasized that the public should not be easily provoked and should always prioritize clarification before believing or spreading information. This also emphasized the importance of the media’s role as a credible source of information. This step can reduce the potential for the spread of hoaxes that could trigger unrest, allowing the public to remain calm in their daily activities.
Meanwhile, from the ranks of the Indonesian National Armed Forces (TNI), Head of the Information Center (Kapuspen) Brigadier General TNI (Mar) Freddy Ardianzah reiterated that the relationship between the TNI and Polri remains solid. He ensured that both institutions have a strong commitment to continue maintaining national security stability. For him, the TNI-Polri synergy is not merely symbolic, but is manifested concretely in joint security measures. Freddy emphasized that with this solidarity, the TNI and Polri can face any potential threats quickly, measured, and decisively to maintain the integrity of the nation.
The strength of the TNI-Polri collaboration is not only seen in the security aspect on the ground, but also in the way both institutions maintain public psychological well-being. Joint patrols, securing public facilities, and the presence of officers in public spaces provide a sense of security and demonstrate that the state is working to protect the people. The humane presence of officers demonstrates that security is not the preserve of a select few, but rather a right that must be safeguarded by all citizens.
Appreciation for the role of the Indonesian National Armed Forces (TNI) and the Indonesian National Police (Polri) has also come from civil society. The Indonesian Cyber Media Union (SMSI) publicly expressed its appreciation for the role of these two state institutions in maintaining national stability. The General Chair of SMSI, Firdaus, assessed that the TNI and Polri had carried out their duties well in addressing the recent social dynamics. He stated that the TNI and Polri’s ability to maintain security without creating new problems that could threaten the sovereignty of the Unitary State of the Republic of Indonesia (NKRI) is an important achievement worthy of appreciation.
According to Firdaus, the role of the Indonesian National Armed Forces (TNI) and the Indonesian National Police (Polri) extends beyond handling demonstrations, but also serves as the primary guardians of a healthy democracy. With professional security measures, these two institutions have prevented the escalation of conflict that could be exploited by irresponsible parties to divide the nation. He emphasized that maintained stability will be a significant asset for Indonesia in continuing its national development agenda.
The synergy between the Indonesian National Armed Forces (TNI) and the Indonesian National Police (Polri) has a strategic impact on the life of the nation and state. When people feel secure, they can carry out economic, educational, and social activities without significant obstacles. The resulting stability will increase public trust in the government and strengthen Indonesia’s international standing. Furthermore, a conducive environment will create a healthy investment climate, create jobs, and accelerate national economic growth.
On the other hand, the public is expected to play an active role in supporting the efforts of security forces. Public participation in the form of compliance with the law, awareness of maintaining order, and a critical attitude toward misinformation are crucial for the security forces’ success in maintaining stability. Therefore, the synergy between the Indonesian National Armed Forces (TNI) and the Indonesian National Police (Polri) does not operate in isolation but is supported by the collective awareness and concern of the Indonesian people.
Anarchic actions that damage public facilities, disrupt economic activity, or cause social unrest will ultimately only harm society itself. The material and psychological losses suffered by the public far outweigh the short-term benefits of such destructive actions. Therefore, the presence of the Indonesian National Armed Forces (TNI) and the Indonesian National Police (Polri) to oversee the implementation of democracy within the law is the right step to ensure that the people’s aspirations are channeled without sacrificing national security and unity.
With its unwavering solidarity, the synergy between the Indonesian National Armed Forces (TNI) and the Indonesian National Police (Polri) demonstrates that national security is in safe hands. Through sustained collaboration, these two institutions not only prevent the threat of anarchic acts but also ensure that Indonesia remains a peaceful, sovereign, and dignified nation before the world.
