The Indonesian National Armed Forces (TNI) and the Indonesian National Police (Polri) collaborate to maintain security and stability during the 2025 Youth Pledge Commemoration

Jakarta – The 2025 Youth Pledge Day commemorations across Indonesia took place safely, orderly, and with a spirit of togetherness. This conducive atmosphere was not only the result of the work of security forces, but also a tangible manifestation of community participation, actively maintaining order in their respective communities. Synergy between the Indonesian National Armed Forces (TNI), the Indonesian National Police (Polri), and the community is key to maintaining stable national security amidst increasingly complex social dynamics and digital challenges.
National Police Chief General Listyo Sigit Prabowo expressed his appreciation for the active role of the public and the younger generation in supporting the security forces during the commemoration series. He noted that national stability cannot be achieved without collaboration and a sense of responsibility from all elements of the nation.
“National stability cannot be achieved by the authorities alone. This is the result of collaborative work between the Indonesian National Armed Forces (TNI), the Indonesian National Police (Polri), and all elements of society,” said the National Police Chief in Jakarta.
The National Police Chief also reminded the public of the importance of vigilance against the spread of fake news and provocations in cyberspace, which often appear ahead of national moments.
“Protect the digital space from fake news and hate speech. Don’t give space to those who want to divide national unity,” he stressed.
Meanwhile, Coordinating Minister for Human Development and Culture (Menko PMK), Pratikno, assessed that the safe and orderly conditions created demonstrate a growing public awareness of the importance of unity and collaboration across national elements. He stated that the spirit of the Youth Pledge is no longer about physical struggle, but rather a collective effort to maintain national unity amidst the rapid flow of information and global challenges.
Similarly, TNI Commander General Agus Subiyanto emphasized the TNI’s commitment to continued synergy with the National Police in maintaining national security. He said the close cooperation between the authorities and the community is proof that national security is born from the spirit of mutual cooperation.
“We, together with the National Police, ensure that the Youth Pledge celebrations run safely, peacefully, and in a spirit of brotherhood,” he said.
The peaceful celebrations from Sabang to Merauke demonstrated that synergy between the authorities and the community is a crucial pillar in maintaining national unity. With the solid collaboration of the Indonesian National Armed Forces (TNI), the Indonesian National Police (Polri), and the public, Indonesia asserted itself as a resilient, mature nation, ready to face the challenges of the times with a strong spirit of unity.
