Young Papuan Figures Appreciate the President and Head of BIN at the Inauguration of the Papua Youth Creative Hub
Papua – Current development is Indonesia centric and no longer Java centric. And the Land of Papua is a development priority. This was said by President Jokowi at the inauguration of the Papua Youth Creative Hub (PYCH) Building in Jayapura, Tuesday (21).
“Why are we building this Papua Youth Creative Hub, we want to give opportunities to our young people who have creativity who are engaged in many fields, all of whom have an opportunity,” said President Jokowi.
According to Jokowi, the opportunities in the Land of Papua are still very large, for young people to enter, so that it is hoped that this will increase the welfare of the Papuan people.
President Jokowi also admitted that he was surprised to see the work of Papuan youths at PYCH, starting from making cellphones, laptops, podcasts, music studios, photography, and also products in the Land of Papua with very good packaging and branding.
“If this continues, young people in other provinces will be left behind by young people in Papua,” Jokowi said.
Previously, Papuan Youth Leader George Saa gave the highest appreciation for the inauguration of the Papua Youth Creative Hub by President Jokowi. He also appreciated the role of the State Intelligence Agency (BIN) for continuing to provide assistance to the young generation of Papua to develop.
George Saa expressed his deep appreciation to the President of the Republic of Indonesia, Joko Widodo for his concern in inaugurating the Papua Youth Creative Hub.
“I express my deep appreciation for President Jokowi’s concern with building the Papua Youth Creative Hub,” he said.
According to him, with the inauguration of the PYCH, in the future he will be able to continue to encourage many programs for technology development to local product innovation.
For him, with the existence of PYCH, it is tantamount to having built a big house to continue to encourage the progress of the younger generation in their respective fields.
Not only to President Jokowi, but the young Papuan leader also gave high appreciation to BIN during the leadership of Gen. Pol (Purn) Budi Gunawan.
According to him, the presence of BIN was very effective in continuing to encourage all the young generations of Cendrawasih Earth to work and create superior MSME products.
During the inauguration of the PYCH Building in Jayapura, Head of BIN General Police (Ret.) Prof. Dr. Budi Gunawan, SH, M.Sc., Ph.D., said that Papua has a special place in the President’s heart, with special attention to the development of Papuan human resources and the development of Papuan male and female human resources.
“The level of public satisfaction with the President in Papua reaches 80 percent, which is the highest average nationally. Through the inauguration of PYCH, it will become the President’s Gold Ink Legacy in Papua,” said the Head of BIN.
The Head of BIN also reminded that the Minister of Finance still has PYCH development PR in several other places such as West Papua and Aceh, moreover PYCH will create jobs for business and economic development as well as arts and culture.
“PYCH’s vision and mission is the driving force for partnerships with various stake holders. We are optimistic that the results of PYCH will be global with the development of Papuan Youth Human Resources,” said Police General (Purn.) Prof. Dr. Budi Gunawan. []
