CIDISS – The combined group of farmers (gapoktan) consisting of 8 corn farmers group in the village of Simpang Berambai ,Pangkalan Banteng district, Kotawaringin barat regency will do harvest corn. But one again, these farmers cannot open line marketing corn yields. The corn is harvested from plantation covering an area of 45 hectares still no line of marketting.
The head of the village of Simpang Berambai, Wagiman also recognizes that Harvest corn is government programs will be implemented with these Babinsa on 29 February which was attended by the head of the area, and Office related.
“We’ve helped find a wholesaler from Java, but no one wants to accommodate. Maybe we give it solution such in the Department of agriculture to Kobar, “said Wagiman.
Corn plantations covering an area of 45 hectares of reserve land is the property of villagers. Starting late last year, the land has not been tilled by society, and then empowered to food maintenance programs by local governments and Babinsa.
The community has a land that is also included in gapoktan and gets help from the Government in the form of corn seeds, fertilizers, as well as operational guidance and money. “Our village is just starting this year planting corn, just want to harvest as well.”
Meanwhile, Dandim 1014 Pangkalan Bun, Lt. Inf Suparman also recognizes the constraints in the field, hasn’t been availability of corn market. His side gives it to local governments.
However, information from several farmers groups in the village of Simpang Berambai, Distanak will facilitate and find its marketing to Banjarmasin.
