As many as thousands of people in Munajat Kubro 212 held the 212 Reunion in the National Monument (Monas) area, Jakarta from early Saturday 2 December 2023. On this occasion, they invited all religious communities to maintain unity within the framework of the Unitary State of the Republic of Indonesia (NKRI) and continue to encourage the implementation of peaceful General Elections (Pemilu).
The 212 reunion was entitled ‘Munajat for the Victory of Palestine and the Safety of the Republic of Indonesia’. During the action, PA 212 Trustee, Habib Rizieq Shihab (HRS) delivered his speech which was read by the Chairman of SC Munajat Kubro, Muhammad Bin Husein Al Atthas. At least in the speech delivered, there were three major demands.
The first is to urge the Government of the Republic of Indonesia (RI) to punish community organizations (ormas) or individuals supporting Israel. In the speech read by the son-in-law of HRS, Habib Rizieq stated that the 212 crowd urged the government to take firm action against every group and individual who even openly defended the Israeli Zionists.
Of course, it is not without reason why this pressure is being carried out, because if there are people who defend Israel it is also the same as violating the constitutional order in the Preamble to the 1945 Constitution and also at the same time violating the Regulation of the Minister of Foreign Affairs (Permenlu) of the Republic of Indonesia Number 3 of 2019.
Moreover, if there are still parties who defend the Zionists, it will have the potential to cause horizontal friction, as has happened in cases of trouble and riots such as in Bitung City, North Sulawesi (Sulut).
On the other hand, very high appreciation should also be given to the steps that have been taken by the Indonesian Government, which has continued to be able to voice its defense and support for Palestine all this time, especially since Israel carried out another raid on the Gaza Strip on 7 October.
High appreciation and gratitude from HRS was expressed directly and addressed to the Minister of Foreign Affairs (Indonesian Minister of Foreign Affairs), Retno Marsudi, who from the past until now has consistently defended and also fought for the independence of the people in Palestine. Furthermore, the second demand conveyed by the Reunion 212 crowd was to request that the elections in 2024 be held honestly, fairly and peacefully. Every participant and the election organizers themselves should continue to be focused, serious and also full of sincerity when conducting politics using good methods, without the slightest hint of cheating, without resorting to verbal abuse so that they are able to avoid the practice of money politics.
If all of these things can be implemented well and are also supported by various parties as a whole, both from election participants and election organizers and are fully supported by the wider community, then it will clearly be able to minimize the potential for division and also avoid the possibility of polarization that could occur. occurred in the Republic of Indonesia.
Finally, the demands conveyed by the 212 Reunion crowd were for all people from various parties to be able to always maintain the unity of the Republic of Indonesia. According to Habib Rizieq, all citizens and Muslims as well as all religious communities in Indonesia must continue to be able to uphold the spirit and values of the state, namely Pancasila and the implementation of the 1945 Constitution by continuing to maintain the unity and integrity of the Republic of Indonesia.
It is known that currently, the Munajat Kubro 212 protesters in the National Monument area, Central Jakarta have started to leave the location. The participants gradually left the Monas area in an orderly manner by following the directions put forward by the activities committee.
Traffic flow that was previously closed has now been reopened so that people can pass through normally. Police officers remain on standby to regulate traffic flow to avoid long traffic jams.
Of course, many parties also really hope that the aspirations of all people in the country regarding the implementation of peaceful, honest and fair elections can be carried out well in accordance with the people’s expectations. It is also hoped that the entire election implementation process can run conducively.
The existence of synergy and collaboration from all religious communities is indeed important, in the context of being able to work together to ensure that the atmosphere in the 2024 Election remains peaceful. This refers to the occurrence of very close and harmonious cooperation between the various parties involved in the entire upcoming election process.
Therefore, the 212 Reunion crowd continues to encourage the maintenance of harmony between religious communities so that unity and unity within the framework of the Republic of Indonesia remains intact.
