Jakarta being National Election Symbols, Tito request Citizen to be Mature when Elections

Indonesia Police Chief, Tito Karnavian remind all voters Jakarta to be more mature in dealing with issues that are spread in social media, particularly with regard to the elections of Jakarta.

At Wisma Bhayangkari complex, Police Headquarters, Jakarta, Tito said that the city as a symbol of the capital, one of the most important symbols of the land mark of democracy is elections, elections. So we appealed to mature, democratic, we show to the world that Indonesia is a country that succeeded in democracy.

Tito also pointed out the elections in the Netherlands without any disruption and concern for voters to make choices. Deservedly, he said, it could be emulated in election implementation in Jakarta. We see in the Netherlands, they also do the election, no police conduct special operations for the elections there, even the police have the right to vote means that society has nothing to apprehension, commotion due to provocation and negative campaign.

Furthermore, Tito hoped, Jakarta citizens can be mature understanding of democracy. However, on the other hand, this four-star general said it would continue to monitor and secure the two rounds of elections DKI later.

Tito added please help us embarrassed as a nation, if we have to prioritize primordial, intimidation, swallowing or manipulation of the public with negative campaign.

The course of the election DKI second round of the role of all people, both communities, government, campaign successful team, and the parties concerned. May all aware that democracy must be done honestly and no coercion and pressure from any party, because it is the right of every citizen. And hopefully of elections both in 2017 DKI can be implemented smoothly and successfully for the sake of a better Jakarta.
