Radicalism today has many entrances both offline and online. So starting from parents to young people who are often active in gadgets, they are equally vulnerable to being exposed to the virus of radicalism. The public is advised to remain aware of the spread of the anti-Pancasila ideology.
Radicalism is still considered a common enemy. To deal with this, of course all parties must help reduce the spread. in addition as a cooling system for the hearts of the people and protectors, religious leaders have an important position in maintaining diversity and national unity.
Bambang Soesatyo, as the chair of the MPR, said that religious leaders currently have challenges that are not easy. In addition to being forced to glue national ties, religious leaders must also be part of the conditioning of society, nation and state.
The former Speaker of the DPR, who is familiarly called Bamsoet, emphasized that inter-religious harmony is the main foundation for the survival of the Unitary Republic of Indonesia. Do not let Indonesia follow countries such as the Middle East, which are always in conflict with one another. Moreover, conflicts in the name of religion.
He also said that religion should be used to reconcile and enlighten mankind, not as a tool for fighting sheep.
We must understand consciously that there is no religion in the world that teaches radicalism or terrorism. Acts of terror and radical propaganda that hit the world including the Unitary Republic of Indonesia, are not due to the influence of certain religious teachings. However, because of human activity, both individuals and groups who are radical and do not want peace.
The existence of a radical understanding that is able to attract the interest of Indonesian citizens flying to Syria, clearly shows that the understanding of radicalism is able to lead people to hate the land of their birth and choose to move away from a country that is noisy ripah loh jinawi.
All parties must be vigilant especially if there are provocation news that contain expressions of hatred and intolerance.
When viewed from a religious point of view, the word radicalism can be interpreted as a religious understanding that refers to a very high religious foundation, so that not infrequently adherents of that understanding / sect use violence to people of different understandings / radicals to actualize religious understandings that are embraced and trusted for forcefully accepted.
In addition, adherents of P tend to have a narrow, hard understanding, and always want to correct the understanding of others who are contrary to their ideology. This is what causes harmony in social life to be damaged.
Worse, they have openly recognized themselves as someone who is anti against Pancasila, they do not want the Indonesian state to stand up to the Pancasila principle. They want to change the structure of the Indonesian state which is Pancasilais into a khilafah state.
We can not close our eyes, that in Indonesia there had emerged an organization that voiced democracy was haram, so the solution to the nation’s problems was the khilafah. They will also discuss everything that has become a tradition in Indonesia.
Understanding that is not in accordance with Pancasila like the Khilafah is a time bomb that allows them to overthrow a legitimate government.
Radicals tend to see the government as a group of wrongdoers. They will fry all government policies to smooth the group agenda. During the pandemic, for example, when the government advocated worship at home and not at a place of worship, then radicalists would loudly speak out the tyranny of the government on its social media pages.
Shaykh Dr. Muhammad Adnan Al-Afyouni asserted, the Prophet Muhammad never killed and always hung out with anyone regardless of religion, both Jews and Christians.
In fact, the Prophet has confirmed that they have rights to them. That is, we need each other and can not be hostile to each other between fellow human beings.
He instead questioned how they claimed to be warriors of Islam, but his behavior was very far from the character of Islam who loves beauty and peace.
It should be noted that the khilafah which is often echoed by radical groups cannot develop in Indonesia because it contradicts the Indonesian government system that has been mutually agreed upon since Independence in 1945.
The ideology of the nation should not need to be debated, Pancasila as the ideology of the Unitary Republic of Indonesia has been agreed as the state ideology that is able to glue the Indonesian people from Sabang to Merauke.
