Any religion in the world has always taught about goodness. There is no single religion that teaches its adherents to the evil behavior. Kindness taught in religions that do not arise from another place, but comes from God alone; because the Lord is the figure of the Good and Wise. Dear Lord and Wise was willing that any human being to do ggodly to others, not vice versa, doing evil behavior. It is impossible something evil comes from God.
Unfortunately, not a few people wearing the cloak of religion for other purposes. For the purpose we do not know it, they have the heart to spit hatred in the name of God and religion. They forget or deliberately forget that everyone is equal in the eyes of God. In fact, God does not care what our religion. As long as we can do good deeds, we can please God.
That is what happened in our country. We’ve often receive a variety of slander, speech of hatred and violence in the name of God and religion. The stark reality that makes many people wonder, “How can religious people doing the improper behavior in the name of God and religion? Did not God through religions teach goodness? ”
People who are stuck in the narrow fanaticism as it mushroomed everywhere, even maybe they are all around us. They are anti to any plurality in society. If we look back at the events have emerged recently, for example, looking at all that there are people who feel disturbed by diversity in our country. Things like that obviously hurt the diversity that exist in this country. In fact, we know that the attitude that should arise from within ourselves face to face with the diversity that exists in society is none other than tolerance.
Thankfully, the arrival of King Salman bin Abdulaziz al-Saud to Indonesia in the next few days brings a new insight for many people in Indonesia, especially for those who have been rant against all plurality in Indonesia.
As we know that today the seventh king of Saudi Arabia met with interfaith leaders. In front of them, he appreciates the diversity that exists in Indonesia. Raja Salman meeting with religious leaders was definitely a hard slap for intolerant groups in Indonesia. Behold, the Custodian of the Two Holy City of Islam alone is not anti to their religious differences in society.
If the Saudi king just want to appreciate the differences that exist in our society even willing to appreciate the diversity of it, why are we in Indonesia precisely acts of intolerance against our neighbors just because they are not of our faith?
Supposedly, the attitude of Leader of the House of Saud makes you who have been embarrassed to be intolerant. Imagine, Raja Salman just accept difference, when he came from Arab countries that in fact the birthplace of Islam, the period you were just acting like snobs anti Arabs of religious differences? Hopefully, the attitude shown by the King of Saudi towards pluralism in Indonesia should be followed by every person in Indonesia. Greetings one mind-soul.
