In addition, citizens or netizens will also be ready to work together in making narratives. Narratives in the public media line in order to succeed the PON XX in 2020 in Ramgka to preach the big event. Nowadays almost everyone is very possible to connect with each other even without face to face, our parents would have had to be patient for weeks to get a reply from his pen friend. But now less than 1 second, we can all send text, audio, photos and videos through social media applications.
Social media has now shifted the role of conventional media in slowly forming public opinion. Social media is also able to shape or even change public opinion because of its very free and fast, and easily accessible.
Social media has now taken over the role of conventional media in the formation of public opinion, including negative opinions. Therefore social media users / citizens can pay attention to ethics and the rules of the applicable laws so that the opinions formed are also positive.
Social media as we know it today, is also inseparable from the increasingly widespread internet network. In at least two decades internet users have risen significantly throughout the world.
This is certainly the moral responsibility of the citizens to build opinions or create content and narratives about PON in Papua.
The content that is spread later will position the issue of PON in Indonesia, including in the order of trending topics. It does not even rule out the possibility, the content created will be trending well in the world.
Of course citizens must be able to back up the interesting things that exist during preparation until the implementation of PON XX ends, one of the interesting and proud things is, the inclusion of the Bangkit Papua Stadium in the ‘Stadium of the year’ nomination organized by the StadiumDB website.
This award will choose the best stadium from 21 candidates throughout 2019. Launching StadiumDB page, citizens will be able to give their choice to one of the candidates. After that, StadiumDB will choose the top 5 stadiums. Of course this has the potential to qualify for the top 5, because the number of citizens in Indonesia reaches almost half of the total population of the population in Indonesia. In addition to the awards conducted by voting, the organizer also gave special awards based on the judges’ evaluation. The stadium is located in Kampung Harapan, Sentani Jayapura Regency, Papua. The construction was undertaken by PT Pembangunan Perumahan (Persero) Tbk with a contract value of Rp 1.3 trillion.
The momentum can certainly be material for citizens to post matters relating to PON XX 2020. Moreover, citizens can optimize the power of hashtag. The hashtag allows anyone to see the post if you click on the hashtag. Citizens throughout the country can certainly compactly use the hashtag # PON2020 Pride of the Nations * or #warganet supportedPONPapua to call for the pride of Papua, it is not impossible if the content creators and influencers synergize, then the hashtag will potentially be trending on social media.
If it becomes trending, then anyone who accesses it will feel involved in the multievent. The spirit of carrying the name of the area and sportsmanship seems to be spread through creative content.
Quite often a viral content will instead become a reference for conventional media in making a news, so that content on social media does not mean that it is not ogled by mainstream media, but it may become material for media such as tv or newspapers in reporting interesting things to unexposed audiences social media.
Moreover, not all television stations report PON events either directly or indirectly, of course social media can take this role as a bridge of information to people who want to know the news about PON XX Papua.
Optimal online collaboration will certainly show the impression that PON XX Papua will leave a digital footprint that will be accessible to future generations.
