FPI’s provocation was increasingly unsettling, so that the community rejected it outright. The mass organization could not do this by pretending that it was defending the people. At the end of the year, the authorities increasingly guarded crowded places and places of worship. The reason is because they are afraid that there will be sweeping from FPI mass organizations, which in fact often do not know how to be ashamed and do not want to control themselves. In fact, his actions were often misplaced and clearly not authorized. Because those who have the right to do so are the police or the army.
However, FPI members did not lose their minds. They took advantage of WA and Telegram to spread hoax news, so there is a narrative that elevates FPI and disparages officials, because these organizations have the courage to defend the people. Even though it is reversed, it should be that naughty ormas like the FPI who were disbanded, because they failed to defend, instead committed violence . This mass organization’s license has also expired since 2019.
FPI members also use social media to provoke, in order to attract public sympathy. They know that most Indonesians socialize on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram, and use these 3 media to spread provocation and hoaxes. So that there are people who sympathize with their actions and turn to criticize the government.
Even though provocation is only a tool to deceive the community. FPI displays their actions that seem to be heroes and defend the people. In fact, what was done was the wrong thing, because the sweeping was carried out arbitrarily, without permission from the police. What right do they have to sweep ahead of other religions’ holidays? Though not an authorized official.
Indonesia is a rule of law, so FPI’s actions cannot be justified. Communities in all regions, from Malang to Bandung, also refused FPI’s entry into their territory. Because it is feared that it will divide peace in Indonesia. These organizations are always intolerant and never respect people with different beliefs.
In addition, they also provoked the community to support the guilty prisoner, the FPI commander. Rizieq Shihab was indeed detained at Polda Metro Jaya and FPI insisted on releasing him. Even desperate to ask the police to replace his position, so that Rizieq can breathe air outside the prison immediately.
If there is any provocation from them to continue to support Rizieq Shihab and other figures who are their convicts, who have 2 cases of one kind, where is the common sense? Have you gone out of your way to defend the wrong person? Do not let anyone fall for the sweet words and seductions of the FPI, and simply obscure the truth. Use logic before giving sympathy to someone .
The public must be vigilant against FPI’s provocation, because when the violence and sweeping techniques fail, they perform the playing victim technique . The aim is of course to seek sympathy and provoke so that many people cry when they find out that a religious leader has been imprisoned. FPI understands that the community is very sensitive when it comes to this.
The fact is, if there are religious leaders who go to jail, it does not mean the government is wrongdoing. Because Rizieq must be responsible for his actions, which gathered the masses during the pandemic and made hate speeches . His actions were guilty, it did not mean that all religious leaders were prohibited from preaching by the government and other people were prohibited from speaking out.
Let no one else be consumed by FPI’s persuasion and provocation. Because they failed to defend the people, they tarnished the name of the people. By spreading hoaxes and tensions everywhere. FPI also always provokes the public to sympathize with them. Even though the people have memorized their crocodile mode and refuse to empathize. .
