Rizieq Shihab’s trial continues with an agenda of examining witnesses. The testimonies of these witnesses tended to strengthen the allegation that Rizieq violated the Health Prokes during the Covid-19 pandemic .
The trial process of Rizieq Shihab is still continuing. Based on the BAP of the witnesses from the Criminal Investigation Police, the Public Prosecutor (JPU) made an indictment and determined the articles that Rizieq Shihab was accused of in a case of alleged health quarantine crime.
Meanwhile, the Legal Counsel for the defendant Rizieq Shihab stated that he was ready to face the witnesses presented by the prosecutor in a follow-up trial in the case of suspected criminal offenses for health quarantine.
A member of Rizieq Shihab’s legal team, Azis Yanuar, said that his party had prepared itself to face the witnesses who were presented at the examination hearing on Monday, 12/4/2021.
He admitted that his party had dismantled the BAP (Minutes of Investigation), one by one. Then the statements that were later present were approximately 11 people.
The purpose of dismantling the BAP is to study the copy of the BAP when the witnesses testify to the Police Criminal Investigation Unit before the case files are transferred to the Attorney General’s Office and declared as P21.
The police witness referred to by Azis is Kombes Heru Novianto who is a former Central Jakarta Police Chief who served when Rizieq Shihab held the Prophet Muhammad SAW’s birthday and the wedding ceremony of Rizieq Shihab’s daughter in November 2020.
Meanwhile, the regional government includes former Mayor of Central Jakarta Bayu Meghantara, who also served as the Prophet Muhammad SAW’s birthday and the wedding ceremony of Rizieq Shihab’s daughter.
Both are part of the Central Jakarta Covid-19 Handling Task Force, which the prosecutor called has warned Rizieq Shihab to hold activities according to health protocols.
Azis said Rizieq Shihab, who is currently detained at the Police Criminal Investigation Detention Center, is in good health and is ready to undergo a series of sidan during the month of Ramadan 1442 Hijriah or while fasting.
On a different occasion, the Mayor of Bogor, Bima Arya, was presented at the trial as a witness. However, the information he gave was labeled a lie by Rizieq Shihab.
Responding to this, Bima said that his statement in the trial was appropriate. He emphasized that what Rizieq Shihab conveyed was not true.
Rizieq previously said that he was fit and decided to return home from Ummi Hospital on Saturday, November 28, 2021.
Legal expert Refly Harun said Bogor Mayor Bima Arya would enter history for being the one who imprisoned Rizieq Shihab.
Bogor Mayor Bima Arya Sugiarto also seemed undaunted by the anger of former Islamic Defenders Front (FPI) Rizieq Shihab during the trial of the Bogor City RM Ummi swab test case at the East Jakarta District Court.
Bima testified that what Rizieq Shihab conveyed at the UMMI Hospital that he was healthy and so on was not appropriate.
Because, based on the results of the examination at Ummi Hospital, it was known that Rizieq Shihab had tested positive for Covid-19. The team of doctors also conveyed to Rizieq earlier that he was at Ummi Hospital that the antigen was positive and then there was an indication that Covid was also there, meaning that it was indeed unhealthy.
Then, he said his party was following up on the test results by taking anticipatory steps.
Bima said that this was what had to be anticipated, because he had to break the chain of transmission, whatever it was.
Furthermore, he also responded to the statement by the Rizieq camp which said that he had announced the results of the HRS swab to the public.
Of course, his party did not want to announce his name. However, his party was running according to the applicable procedure.
At least the protocol every day he must know, how many probable, positive confirmed, how many suspects . Even if Rizieq Shihab is suspected of covid-19, of course it must be reported.
Bima also stated that there were a number of reasons for him reporting this case to the Police. However, he stressed that there was no political element in it.
In this case Rizieq was charged with Article 14 paragraph (1), paragraph (2), Article 15 of Law Number 1 Year 1946 concerning Criminal Law regulations and / or Article 14 paragraph (1), paragraph (2) Law of the Republic of Indonesia Number. 4 of 1984 concerning outbreaks of infectious diseases and / or article 216 of the Criminal Code in conjunction with Article 55 paragraph 1 of the Criminal Code.
Rizieq Shihab who has violated the health protocol must be rewarded. Of course, after going through various trials.
