The development of the National Capital City (IKN) will be able to accommodate the role of all Indonesian youth in realizing this nation’s change because it is able to fully support the IKN succession and will later create an advanced nation, without any social inequality thanks to the equitable distribution of development that has occurred.
This time, the government is very serious about eliminating social inequalities that occur among Indonesian people. So far, the gap is really felt, especially when compared between people living on the island of Java and those outside Java.
This is none other than, derived from the paradigm error of the concept of development that was continuously carried out by the government in the period before the leadership of President Joko Widodo. They continue to carry out development, but only centered in one area, namely the island of Java.
As a result, other regions in Indonesia have received less attention so that it is clear that there are differences in access to infrastructure, which are very unequal and then spread to the occurrence of economic inequality or inequality and also the level of community welfare.
Realizing this, President Jokowi did not stay silent at all, for that even from the beginning he was sworn in as the seventh President of Indonesia, he immediately had a vision and mission, namely to make the development of all infrastructure in Indonesia evenly distributed because this nation is not only made up of one island. , but rather consists of 17 thousand islands.
One way is to make a truly bold breakthrough, namely the transfer of the State Capital, which was previously in DKI Jakarta, which is planned to be moved to East Kalimantan. Later, with the transfer, many experts predict that development in various remote areas of Indonesia will also receive much more attention.
According to the Minister of Youth and Sports (Menpora), Zainudin Amali, East Kalimantan itself has played a role in the long history of the formation of this nation, because from this land the early civilization of the Kutai Kingdom emerged as the first Hindu kingdom in Indonesia.
For him, the determination of East Kalimantan as IKN Nusantara, is tantamount to an effort to be able to restore the greatness of the early history of Indonesia’s development and also the glory that was once achieved. He hopes that the development of IKN can be a turning point for managing Indonesia’s progress in the future.
This seriousness in eliminating social inequalities was finally realized when the IKN development began in East Kalimantan. For this reason, the government really needs help and support from all elements of society without exception.
When all people believe, trust and give their full support, then all policies set by the government will be much clearer and well targeted because no other party tries to reject it, so that the development target by prioritizing equity is also can really be realized quickly.
According to the Chairman of Commission IV of the East Kalimantan DPRD, Akhmed Reza Fachlevi, it is undeniable that history has also recorded how the role of youth is very large for the history of the Indonesian nation. Therefore, his party continues to strive to encourage the role of youth who are the pillars of development in IKN Nusantara, including helping and fully supporting the development of IKN in East Kalimantan.
Since the first, youth has had a very crucial role, even including how this nation’s struggle to be able to expel the invaders from the country, including when preparing for independence until independence was successfully won, when there were still nepotistic practices that were widespread in the Suharto era. , the role of youth is truly extraordinary in being able to restore democratization in Indonesia with the spirit of reform.
Furthermore, Akhmed Reza explained that now is the right time for all youth in Indonesia to raise their spirits and unite, eliminating all differences, especially regarding differences in any background that exist in each individual. If all youth are able to unite, regional development and also in order to assist the government for the succession of national development will be realized more quickly.
On another occasion, the Chief of the Indonesian National Police (Kapolri), General Police, Listyo Sigit Prabowo explained that the role of youth was indeed very important to be able to continue to support and inflame the spirit of the realization of IKN to welcome Indonesia forward.
According to him, it is very important to have support from all elements of society, especially the youth and even their commitment is very clear and firm to be able to continue to accompany the realization of full support for the sustainability of IKN development. Because IKN itself will later become a forest city and one of the world’s modern cities that will surely become the pride of Indonesia.
So that with the development of the Capital of the Archipelago (IKN) it has indeed become a forum to continue to encourage the role of youth in realizing sustainable change in Indonesia because it will eliminate social inequality.
