The government continues to strive to reduce the number of positive cases in order to control the Covid-19 pandemic through a number of policies, including the imposition of restrictions on micro- scale community activities (PPKM) . The implementation of the policy, which has been started since 9 February 2021, is based on the results of the Government’s evaluation of the restriction policy with a previously wider area coverage.
The Covid-19 pandemic continues to occur and the Government continues to innovate in accelerating the response to the outbreak, one of which is through the Micro PPKM. According to President Joko Widodo, restrictions with a small scope will be more effective than those with a wider scope. He gave an example, if only one household in 1 RT was infected with Covid-19, then 1 RT would be quarantined.
Previously, P resident Jokowi had also conveyed that it was related to PSBB at the micro stage . Because it is not effective. If the red zone is only 1 RT, then only 1 RT is quarantined, no need for one city.
Similar policies PPKM micro scale has also been applied in other countries besides Indonesia, among others in India ber hasi pressing the active case not through policy lockdown widely, but the lockdown in micro scale.
Jokowi views that Indonesia has the power to carry out these policies, namely government officials down to the smallest elements at the RT / RW level, as well as security apparatus from the TNI-Polri through Babinsa and Bhabinkamtibmas . It is believed that this will greatly assist the implementation of micro-scale PPKM.
On a different occasion, the Governor of Banten Wahidin Halim (WH) said that the transmission of the corona virus in his area could be controlled thanks to the implementation of the application of micro-based Community Activity Restrictions (PPKM). Therefore, the implementation of micro PPKM in Banten will be expanded.
Halim revealed, to accelerate the prevention and control of Covid-19, currently the Banten Provincial Government has again issued Governor’s instruction Number 3 of 2021 concerning Micro-based PPKM by involving government officials at the lowest level, namely RT / RW under villages / kelurahan.
He said that the Tangerang area is out of the high risk zone for Covid-19 transmission. Previously, Kota Tangerang and Kota Tangerang Selatan were included in the high risk zone.

He continued that the positive rate or active cases reached 9.4 percent, the cure rate reached 87.9 percent and the death rate was 2.8 percent.
As for Tangerang Raya itself, Ati said that the data on confirmed cases of Covid-19 as of February 22, totaled 21,895 people who were still being treated as many as 1,310 people, recovered 19,958 people and died as many as 627 people.
