The addition of Covid-19 patients continues to occur in Indonesia. The public is urged to remain disciplined in implementing health protocols by implementing the 3M, wearing masks, washing hands, and maintaining distance.
It’s been 2 weeks since the Deputy Chair of the Covid-19 Handling Committee and National Economic Recovery Luhut Binsar Pandjaitan together with the Chair of the Covid-19 Handling Task Force Doni Monardo were assigned by President Joko Widodo to deal with the pandemic in 9 provinces with high levels of transmission.
In this regard, the spokesman for the Coordinating Minister for Maritime Affairs and Investment Jodi Mahardi said that in the future. Luhut is ensuring that the public can be disciplined in carrying out the covid-19 protocol to prevent an increase in covid-19 cases.
In addition to ensuring disciplinary enforcement regarding disciplinary enforcement of 3M (washing hands, wearing masks and maintaining distance) when outside the home, the Coordinating Minister also continues to ensure the implementation of clinical management protocols for COVID-19 patients including socialization and monitoring.

Luhut will also coordinate the provision of medicines and equipment needed for patients with Covid-19.
Previously, President Joko Widodo had also appointed Luhut Binsar Pandjaitan and Doni Monardo to collaborate with the Ministry of Health in handling covid-19 cases in DKI Jakarta, West Java, Central Java, East Java, North Sumatra Provinces. South Kalimantan, South Sulawesi, Papua and Bali. These 9 areas seem to be of concern to the government because they account for 75% of Covid-19 cases in the country.
On a different occasion, Doni Monardo as Chair of the Covid-19 Handling Task Force revealed, a person still has the potential to contract Covid-19 even though he or she complies with health protocols.
The reason is, the people around him do not comply with the health protocol itself.
If we are alone to comply with health protocols, then the others do not comply, so sooner or later we will definitely catch it (Covid-19).
He also reminded the public not to underestimate the potential for covid-19 transmission. So what needs to be done together is community-based prevention.
Previously, Doni said, currently there are still around 45 million Indonesians who still believe that they will not be infected with Covid-19. This number is the result of a survey from the Central Statistics Agency (BPS), which noted that 17 percent of respondents felt confident that they would not contract the disease.
Minister of Health Terawan Agus Putran to said, the indiscipline in implementing health protocols is one of the causes of the increase in covid-19 cases.
Terawan said, the main key in preventing the transmission of Covid-19 is maintaining distance and wearing a mask.
He explained, by using a mask, the risk of transmitting the virus is only about 1.5 percent.
Then, the risk of transmission can be 0% if you use a mask while keeping your distance. According to him, this also applies to the increasing number of positive cases of Covid-19 among medical personnel.
On a different occasion, Bekasi Mayor Rahmat Effendi has summoned all business actors to comply with the health protocol rules that have been established by the government.
For information, restaurants or places to eat are only allowed to operate until 21.00 WIB. After these hours, restaurants are required to serve take away or delivery orders.
Meanwhile, for evening entertainment, it is only allowed to operate until 23.00.
Rahmat also said that there was no tolerance for business actors who violated the health protocol regulations.
This is because the City Government, Police and TNI continue to supervise the activities of each business place operating in the Bekasi area.
He also did not hesitate to seal entertainment venues and restaurants that were proven to have violated health protocols.
The Head of South Bekasi Police, Kompol Imam Syafii said, at least 4 caces and one cafe were sealed because in this 1 month he ignored appeals and warnings from officers regarding health protocols .
We also need to know that the cumulative number of covid-19 cases in Bekasi City from March to September 28 was 3,237 cases. This number increased by 422 cases from a week ago, to be precise on September 21.
Compliance and discipline towards 3M are of course mandatory, in fact the family cluster is one of the clusters with the fastest transmission, therefore it is important to work together and protect oneself and the surrounding environment by complying with health protocols.
