The government held a dialogue with religious leaders regarding the handling of COVID-19 in Indonesian territory. These scholars conveyed various positive views and inputs to the government so that this pandemic could end soon. On this occasion, the government said that several regions in Indonesia had experienced a decrease in COVID-19 cases. However, in general the trend is still increasing.

To deal with this pandemic, the government has three major strategies. First, from the public health sector must feel safe. To achieve this, the government has implemented various approaches including the imposition of large-scale social restrictions. This is part of Law number 6 concerning quarantine, namely the quarantine of homes, hospitals, areas and large-scale social restrictions. In addition, the implementation of health protocols such as maintaining distance, washing hands, using masks, avoiding crowds.

The second strategy, people must be able to eat. To that end, the government provides a number of social assistance, basic food cards, pre-employment, village fund assistance, as well as emergency response funds from the Ministry of Social Affairs. Third, the community must be able to do business, especially for MSMEs and large companies, it is recommended not to terminate employment (PHK). In this case, the government provides incentives and other stimuli. The government also prohibits homecoming to break the chain of transmission of COVID-19. The maximum possible human mobility is limited on a large scale. There needs to be communication and friendship with religious leaders and scholars so that they can work together. Ulama have confidence in the government, they can come together to provide solutions and the best way. One effort that can be done is doing istigosah together so that the best solution can be found. The scholars said they were ready to support any government decisions in the face of this pandemic. These scholars also ask the public to follow every government policy so that the spread of Corona can end soon in Indonesia.
