The Covid-19 pandemic is currently being discussed and raises various kinds of concerns so that various actions are being taken to prevent the disease, especially its spread so fast. 2020 is a year that is worrying for all countries, including Indonesia due to the emergence of the Covid-19 pandemic.
Therefore, people are urged to continue to adhere to health protocols. The easing of restrictions carried out in a number of areas does not mean that the threat of Covid-19 has subsided. On the other hand, the last positive case curve is in an upward trend and recorded its highest numbers several times this October.
The government continues to strive to reduce the spread of the Covid-19 virus in Indonesia but does not sacrifice the interests of the community either. For example, the government prohibits implementing lockdowns in the regions. According to President Jokowi, lockdowns carried out in the region can sacrifice the lives of the people themselves.
Therefore, the government is making maximum efforts to handle the Covid-19 pandemic by finding a balance point between the interests of public health and economic interests
The public should not think that the government is inconsistent with regard to policy adjustments in the midst of the Covid-19 pandemic, because the Covid-19 pandemic is a new problem that is occurring in all countries in the world. The government always applies regulations based on current conditions so that the results are not counterproductive.
The government is clearly present in protecting and ensuring the safety of every citizen with all its might, such as the distribution of various social assistance, assistance to MSMEs, and other health efforts. The government’s efforts deserve the support of all levels of Indonesian society. Because only by being united, productive, and in synergy, the Indonesian nation can overcome the Covid-19 pandemic and its effects.
Now, it’s time for the community to unite to support government policies so that it runs smoothly. Support that can be provided, namely by fighting hoaxes and negative content regarding efforts to deal with the Covid-19 pandemic. On the other hand, literate society so as not to be provoked by elements who take advantage of the pandemic moment for personal gain.
