To prevent Corona transmission, the government has socialized the health protocol, which is abbreviated as 3M. Namely washing hands, wearing masks, and maintaining a safe distance. This program is repeated so that people obey it. When everyone is disciplined, we are optimistic that the pandemic will end soon.

At the start of the pandemic, we were all busy buying masks and hand sanitizers until they were scarce and the price soared. But unfortunately after 8 months after the pandemic status was officially released, some people forgot to wear a mask. Or maybe they are tired of all the rules in health protocol and are breaking them one by one.

This condition is actually terrible because it can form a new Corona cluster. In a survey conducted by AC Nielsen in collaboration with UNICEF, only 1/3 out of 2,000 people adhere to health protocols (wearing masks, washing hands and maintaining a safe distance). Meanwhile, the rest only obey 2 or even 1 rule.

The survey results are sad because public awareness to comply with 3M must be increased again. Even though still from the same survey results, there are 2/3 of the 2,000 people who are afraid of the dangers of Corona. Yet they are either afraid or feel normal when they violate health protocols.

The government has also taken steps to prevent violations by imposing sanctions. If someone is caught not wearing a mask, they have to pay a fine of 150,000 rupiah, or be willing to receive social sanctions. This could be in the form of a punishment sweeping the streets or cleaning public facilities such as a wholesale market.

Wearing a mask is very important because according to WHO research, an area can be said to be safe if at least 2/3 of the population wears a mask. If only we wear masks ourselves while others don’t, it is endangering ourselves. To prevent this, just bring a dozen masks and share with them, to be safe together.

Likewise with the hand washing rules. When at home, we remember to wash our hands, but before and after entering a public place, try to clean your fingers in the space provided. Because there could be OTGs milling about. In addition, hand washing is proven to be more effective in killing vrus, than using a hand sanitizer.

Keeping your distance is a health protocol that is often being violated, these days. especially if there are people who hold a wedding party. They insisted on doing a big reception as usual, and argued that they had already worn masks. Even though forgetting to keep your distance. According to the regulations, the wedding ceremony can only be attended by 30 people, including the family of the bride and groom.

To socialize the contents of the health protocol (3M), the government created a program to ‘remember mother’s message’ and collaborated with Padi. The Surabaya-based band performed a song with the same title, the lyrics of which contained an invitation to obey health protocols. The song was played repeatedly on television and video portals, in public service announcements.

With the socialization of health protocols on TV through songs, many people saw it and quickly memorized the lyrics. If 3M’s public service advertisements are repeated, it will enter the subconscious of society and they will happily follow health protocols, and will no longer be forced to wear masks.

If society continues to adhere to health protocols by implementing 3M, we are optimistic that the pandemic will end quickly. Don’t be angry when someone doesn’t wear a mask, but give him a mask. Teach to wear a mask when going out and make sure everyone follows other health protocols.
