Fascinated by Indonesian Culture, Foreign Delegates Say Balinese Handicraft Products Have High Art Value

Amazed by the richness of Indonesian culture, foreign delegates who attended the 144th IPU session approached the handicraft products exhibition in Bali.

Indeed, in holding the 144th IPU session, there was also a Bali IKM Exhibition which showed several local handicraft products from the Island of the Gods.

It turned out that some of the foreign delegates stated that they liked the craft products because they were considered to have quality and aesthetics with superior artistic and cultural values.

It is known that there was a visit made by the foreign delegation and they immediately bought some of the products at the exhibition.

Located at the Ksirarnawa Building, Cultural Park, Denpasar, the Bali Bangkit IKM Exhibition Phase 2 in 2022 was carried out.

Wayan Koster as the Governor of Bali warmly welcomed the arrival of the foreign delegation participating in the 144th IPU along with several other parties.

Even Hon Sophia Abdi Noor as President of the Inter-Parliamentary Union (IPU) Standing Committee on UN Affairs Chairperson-Environment & Natural Resources Committee expressed appreciation.

He stated that this local Balinese handicraft product had artistic value and admitted that he was very proud of the product.

Furthermore, Hon Sophia Abdi Noor even said that he would again arrange a schedule for another time to visit Bali because he wanted to know more about the entire wealth of the Island of the Gods.

“I like the IPU meeting on the island of Bali, and I am both interested and proud of local Balinese handicraft products, so I will arrange another schedule to visit Bali, because I want to know more about Bali,” he said.

For the presence of several foreign delegates participating in the 144th IPU visiting the exhibition of local handicraft products in Bali, Wayan Koster then expressed his gratitude.

In addition, the Governor of Bali also hopes that their local handicraft products can be more favored by the world community.

Not only that, he also hopes that the more familiar Balinese handicraft products can provide a livelihood for the entire community and craftsmen there.

“I represent the community and the Bali Provincial Government, thank you for the visit of the IPU Assembly delegation. Hopefully these local Balinese handicraft products will be more popular with the world community and provide a livelihood for the people and craftsmen in Bali,” he explained.
