Bogor – Head of the State Intelligence Agency ( KaBIN ) General Pol ( Ret .) Budi Gunawan invited regional heads in Indonesia to maximize preparations for 2023. This is because 2023 is considered a dark and full of uncertainty.

” Foresight from world intelligence describes it as saying that 2023 is a dark and full of uncertainty. The term intelligence is called winter is coming , there are also those who describe that 2023 is a year haunted by the threat of recession and inflation,” said the Head of BIN

This view was conveyed by KaBIN at the National Coordination Meeting of Regional Heads and the Indonesia-wide Regional Leadership Communication Forum in Sentul City, Bogor Regency, West Java Province, Tuesday (17/1/2023).

Furthermore, KaBIN assesses that the impact of this situation will affect remote villages. Therefore, he invited all regional heads in Indonesia to properly prepare for this potential threat so that its impact would not disrupt people’s lives.

“The war between Russia and Ukraine is predicted to last a long time. The war could disrupt the world’s energy and food supplies. Intelligence analysis there are several potential threats. The first Russian-Ukrainian war is predicted to be long-lasting and has the potential to use nuclear weapons. Currently the war has disrupted the world’s energy and food supplies,” he said.

Not only that, KaBIN Budi Gunawan explained that the geopolitical conflict situation between China and Taiwan in the Taiwan Strait would also be even more apprehensive and could affect world logistics routes.

“As a result, many countries are forced to apply narrow nationalism or protectionism measures in order to secure and meet their respective domestic needs,” said KaBIN .

In addition, said KaBIN Gen. Pol ( Ret .) Budi Gunawan, infrastructure in European countries has begun to be neglected due to a lack of funds due to inflation. He gave an example that Italy is experiencing an electricity crisis and food shortages.

“Let’s make this difficult year 2023 a year of blessings by making better, more mature preparations that care more about the community,” he concluded.
