Bali – The High Level Conference (Summit) of the Archipelagic and Island States Forum (AIS Forum) will be held in Bali on 10 – 11 October 2023.
In order to make the 2023 AIS Summit a success, the Ministry of Communication and Information (Kemkominfo) ensures that the telecommunications infrastructure at the AIS Summit is adequate and smooth.
“We can ensure that the telecommunications network during the AIS Forum Summit runs smoothly, both for delegation purposes and for media purposes,” said the Director General of Information and Public Communications of the Ministry of Communication and Information, Usman Kansong.
The Ministry of Communication and Information, said Usman, is working with Telkom to ensure smooth telecommunications access during the event.
Various mitigation steps have also been prepared to anticipate obstacles that might occur, including if there is a disruption or breakdown of the network or communication jamming.
Usman also emphasized that the support provided by Telkom is always monitored by the Directorate General of Post and Information Resources and Equipment (SDPPI) to ensure that the quality of telecommunications services is maintained during the activities.
“Telkom is supervised by the Directorate General of SDPPI, so it is continuously monitored through its monitoring centers,” he added.
Meanwhile, regarding network security, Usman said that his party involved the Data and Information Facilities Center (PDSI) of the Ministry of Communication and Information, and received support from the National Cyber and Crypto Agency (BSSN).
Furthermore, the Ministry of Communication and Information also ensures the readiness of the Media Center which can distribute press releases in two languages (Indonesian and English), photos and videos, press briefings, and various materials needed by reporting journalists.
Meanwhile, the police are holding Operation Tribrata Agung to secure the 2023 Archipelagic and Island State Summit (AIS Summit) Forum in Bali from 10 to 11 October 2023.
“Operation Tribrata Agung will be held from 8 October to 13 October 2023,” said Head of the Public Relations Task Force for Operation Tribrata Agung Brigadier General Ahmad Ramadhan.
