Condemning KST’s Sadistic Action of Shooting Security Officers While Saving a Susi Air Pilot

The sadistic actions of the Papuan Separatist Terrorist Group (KSTP) took place again by attacking security personnel who were trying to free the Susi Air pilot on Saturday (15/4). The community supports the TNI/Polri and BIN to be fearless and take firm action against these groups so that peace can be restored.
Kapendam XVII Cenderawasih, Col. Kav Herman Taryaman stated that KST Papua had indeed attacked the Yonif R 321/GT Task Force in Mugi on Saturday April 15 2023 at around 16:30 WIT.
Until now, security forces are still monitoring the incident. It turned out that there were obstacles that caused monitoring to be slightly disrupted, namely due to rainy weather and also fog so that communication could not run smoothly to the security forces who were at the location.
Colonel Herman added that various efforts were being made by his staff to actually be able to provide assistance and also evacuate victims from the Yonif Task Force, as well as search for Susi Air pilots and he hoped that all ranks could be given safety and security. protection to the strength of God Almighty.
It is known that it was revealed that the attack carried out by KST Papua on the Yonif R 321/GT Task Force along with other units currently on duty in the field resulted in around 6 (six) soldiers being reported as victims of the attack and around 30 others it is still not known exactly how his fate.
For information, the Yonif Raider 321 / Galuh Taruna (GT) Task Force is a unit currently on guard at the Mugi Post, Mugi District, Nduga Regency, Papua Mountains. They were suddenly attacked by KST Papua in the context of being on duty to find the Susi Air pilot who was being held hostage.
As it turned out, KST Papua’s actions to continue to hinder the rescue efforts of the Susi Air Pilot did not only occur in the attack on the Yonif Task Force, but they also shot at it causing Private Miftahul Arifin to die and fall into a ravine about 15 meters deep.
In this regard, the Head of the Information Center (Kapuspen) of the TNI, Rear Admiral Julius Widjojono explained that although many were hindered by KST Papua, the TNI and also the TNI Commander still ordered that the Susi Air pilot rescue operation be carried out and even continued to be improved.
The TNI Commander also firmly stated that his party would immediately take action without hesitation. He also ordered the search to continue by deploying maximum combat assistance to be able to search for several soldiers whose whereabouts were still unknown due to the KST Papua attack.
Rear Admiral Julis Widjojono also stated that currently Susi Air’s own pilot, namely Philips Mark Mehrtens, has been identified and the search operation is increasingly focused.
On another occasion, the Kapuspen TNI, Rear Admiral Kisdiyanto explained that until now the negotiation process is still being carried out between the local government (Pemda) and the group of hostage takers. He also emphasized that his staff were very ready to immediately execute KST Papua.
Unmitigated, the TNI will deploy a special unit with skilled capabilities to be able to execute the separatist group. Even though they were very prepared, the security forces continued to follow the government’s policy of prioritizing negotiations first so that the hostages could be rescued without any injuries.
Indeed, there is no doubt that the TNI already knows several locations in the Papua region where KST Papua has held Pilot Susi Air hostage. Operations continue to be carried out but with law enforcement and continue to prioritize negotiations.
Meanwhile, President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) asked the security forces of the TNI, the Indonesian National Police (Polri) and the State Intelligence Agency (BIN) to continue to work hard in rescuing the Susi Air pilot in a persuasive manner.
On the other hand, Military Observer from the Institute for Security and Strategic Studies (ISESS), Khairul Fahmi explained that the directives and instructions from President Jokowi did show that the Government of Indonesia had a very appropriate and careful attitude in responding to KST Papua.
Even though they continue to experience terror and attacks from KST Papua which tries to hinder the efforts of the security forces consisting of joint TNI, Polri and BIN personnel to often cause gunfights until soldiers are killed, however, appreciation should be given as high as possible for how committed this is. strong security forces to continue to try to save the Susi Air Pilot.
