Shocking news came from the world of education, Minister of Education and Culture, Muhajir Effendy would stop the implementation of National Examination through the UN Moratorium.
Certainly for education, it becomes the news quite a scene, considering the national examination has been the evaluation of student learning in an education. Even once the results of the National Examination students to be the only penetu graduation. Which did happen in practice a wide range of pros and cons of the community because they do not consider the students’ learning process for 3 years and the fate of their 3-day implementation of the National Examination.
Minister of Education and Culture said that the idea of a moratorium on the National Examination actually appear as part of the implementation of the revised plan. This, said Muhajir, in line with the government’s action program Nawa Cita where one of the program is to evaluate the implementation of the National Examination. But the idea was later rejected.
Muhajir explained that the moratorium idea first appeared when he was attending a meeting with House of Representatives Commission X. At that time, members of Parliament ask him about the implementation of the National Examination. Muhajir also said it will conduct a study.
After that he was called by Vice President Jusuf Kalla to discuss the evaluation of the implementation of the National Exam. For an hour and Vice President Jusuf Kalla provide guidance and opinions regarding the planned revision of the National Exam.
Then from the assessment team from the Ministry of Education and Culture concluded that the National Examination should moratoria or suspended for several reasons.
Previous UN moratorium proposal is not approved in a plenary cabinet meeting at the Presidential Office, Wednesday (12/07/2016) morning. Vice President Jusuf Kalla said that to improve the quality of education and equal quality of education takes a lot of effort. Implementation of the National Examination is one of the efforts to encourage the achievement of quality targets of National Education.
Whatever the decision we as citizens believe the decision has been well thought for the future of the nation and the quality of human resources. It would be nice all schools in Indonesia to prepare as best as possible to improve the quality of education.
Any decision is expected to improve and enhance the quality of education in the country. Improvements to the quality of the school from all sides start Infrastructures, Curriculum, Student Competency evaluation model of learning to be the key. Hopefully all the decisions taken by the Minister should increase the quality of education of this nation. And ideals make the country prosperous Indonesia became the country can be realized immediately.
