The distribution of covid-19 or the corona virus in Indonesia has shown a serious problem, where within 1 month there were more than 100 people who were positively infected with corona, and some have been successfully cured . The community is also expected to support President Jokowi’s efforts to fight Corona, remembering that the plague is a common enemy.

President Joko Widodo urged people not to panic and increase awareness so that COVID-19 can be stopped.

Jokowi also invited all Indonesian people to get used to doing activities from home . Ranging from work, study, to worship from home. This is so that we do not become carriers of the corona virus.

In handling these areas, the former Surakarta Mayor also ordered regional heads from governors to mayors / regents to constantly monitor the condition of residents in their respective regions in order to prevent the unexpected effects of the COVID-19 outbreak.

Gradually, in several regions in Indonesia, it has closed the teaching and learning activities ranging from schools to campuses. Some workers were also dismissed in order to reduce the spread of the corona virus.

Jokowi also appealed to the community to postpone activities that involve a large number of participants, and improve the service of testing for COVID-19 infections and maximum treatment.

He also revealed data that as much as 94 percent of people with corona virus can be cured. In the video uploaded on YouTube, Jokowi explained that the first thing that could be done to prevent corona virus infection was to wash hands with soap.

Not only washing hands with soap, Jokowi also appealed to the public not to touch their eyes, nose and mouth. This is because the palm is the source of the virus, while COVID-19 enters through the mouth, nose and eyes.

The former Jakarta Governor also instructed to give masks to the sick so they would not be transmitted to others.

He also emphasized that during this corona outbreak, the most important thing to do was social distancing or keeping a distance between one another. Because it is known that corona can be transmitted from a distance of less than 1 meter from the patient.

So that if there is no extreme interest, the Indonesian people are encouraged to stay at home, and not travel to the crowd.

Social distance can be interpreted as an effort to prevent sick people in close contact with other people to reduce the chance of transmission of the virus.

MPR Deputy Chair Lestari Moerdijat requested that all parties conduct social distance or limit themselves to socializing in order to prevent transmission of the corona virus or Covid-19.

This social distance activity is a government strategy in preventing or slowing the spread of the virus. The term can also be interpreted as a quarantine effort.

Social distance done well by the community will certainly stem the spread of COVID-19. The policy also received support from the Indonesian Doctors Association (IDI).

Daeng M Faqih as PBI IDI chairman said, that his party strongly supports what the government is calling for about social distancing.

The appeal for instructions from the President was then forwarded to regional leaders, in West Java, Ridwan Kamil has determined that West Java is on alert status, then built West Java Covid 19 Information and Coordination Center which can be accessed by residents.

West Java also has an initiative to conduct proactive testing or self-examination of samples that have been centered in the Balitbangkes laboratory in Jakarta.

This proactive test aims to examine samples from people who are susceptible to corona virus exposure, such as nurses, doctors and medical personnel who treat patients with positive Covid-19. To carry out the proactive test, Ridwan Kamil claimed to have coordinated with the center.

The sample will later be examined at the West Java health laboratory, Work together with the microbiology and parasitology laboratory of the Faculty of Medicine Unpad and the Center for Nanoscience Research and Nanotechnology ITB with WHO Biosafety level 2 standards.

With this outbreak, it is only natural that we adopt a healthy lifestyle and follow what the government has instructed such as, studying, working and worshiping at home. This must be followed for the safety of the Indonesian people in general.
