High appreciation should be given to the successful development of the Archipelago Student Dormitory (AMN), because of the great enthusiasm that will be a reflection of the motto Bhinneka Tunggal Ika for all students in Indonesia. The reason is that it will not discriminate between groups and classes, but all of them become one as Indonesian students .
Student is group intellectual generation successor nation . because _ that , appreciation is also given to the State Intelligence Agency (BIN) which has synergize with the Ministry of PUPR and the Ministry of Education and Culture Research and Technology for To do steps real in realize Bhinneka Tunggal Ika for student , that is built this Archipelago Student Dormitory .
AMN in the city of Surabaya, East Java is a shared residence for students receiving educational scholarships from various regions studying in Surabaya and its surroundings. The development of AMN has been carried out by the government through the Ministry of PUPR since last September 2021.
AMN development is aspirations from various party , start from local government , figure society , even figure the Papuan people have convey his longing to exist something receptacle or media that can unite ethnic group people in this country .
For that , the State Intelligence Agency (BIN) embraced a number ministries and agencies for build the Archipelago Student Dormitory as receptacle for unite student from various ethnic group nation , language , culture and religion, originating from from various regions in Indonesia as well multicollegiate _ _ high .
Previously , the Director General of Cipta Karya, Diana Kusumastuti explained that the dormitory could accommodate around 532 students, which then the target was to be able to accommodate as many as 40 percent of native Papuan students who were pursuing higher education or studying in East Java.
Furthermore, Diana also stated that the AMN construction in Surabaya had been 100 percent completed in May 2022. Currently AMN Surabaya is managed by the National Development University (UPN) Veterans and has started to be inhabited by around 410 students from various universities in Surabaya and its surroundings.
Not only as a residence for scholarship recipient students, but AMN Surabaya also has a function for several coaching activities whose implementation is directly supported by the State Intelligence Agency (BIN). AMN Surabaya was built by utilizing land owned by the East Java Provincial Government covering an area of 9,975 m², located right next to the archive building of the East Java Provincial Government. The construction was carried out by contractors PT Nindya Karya (Persero) Tbk and PT Parigraha Konsultan as Management Consultants with a contract value of IDR 86.7 billion.
The AMN Surabaya building consists of 2 towers of 5 floors by adopting a tropical architectural concept that implements the Green Building Principles as one of the efforts to support environmental sustainability. Block one is occupied by female students and block two is occupied by male students. The total number of rooms is 196 including 4 rooms for people with disabilities, because the benefits of AMN will be felt by all students without distinction including being a place for disability-friendly, as well as 8 rooms for mentors.
The dormitory also provides supporting facilities in the form of communal bathrooms and toilets, communal prayer room, clinic, management office, dining room, kitchen, laundry room, security room, library/reading room, study room, art room, language laboratory, field. sports, entrepreneurship coaching rooms , gardens, and other communal spaces.
The development of this AMN refers to Presidential Regulation (Perpres) Number 106 of 2021 concerning Archipelago Student Dormitories (AMN) as a forum for coaching to strengthen unity and integrity for the younger generation at the tertiary level by providing dormitories for students from various regions who are studying in cities/cities. another district.
It is planned that AMN will also be built in 6 cities/regencies, namely Jakarta, Bantul (DIY), Surabaya, Malang (East Java), Makassar (South Sulawesi), and Minahasa (North Sulawesi). The completion of AMN development in Surabaya, made East Java the first province to realize AMN development out of 5 provinces in Indonesia. East Java itself, has completed one AMN of the two targeted AMN.
The unity and unity of all students is also a very important basis for continuing to maintain the continuity of the Unitary State of the Republic of Indonesia. This enthusiasm will be able to counteract several other possibilities and risks of conflict, whether it be due to differences in understanding or class conflict so that it will be able to minimize the spread of teachings of intolerance and radicalism which target many young people of the next generation of the nation.
Meanwhile, the Governor of East Java, Khofifah Indar Parawansa explained that the vision of the AMN development was to bring together different students who came from all provinces in Indonesia. So that they can mingle from various Tribes, Religions, and Races. Because this will reflect the motto of this nation, namely the spirit of Unity in Diversity. This spirit is indeed the main breath of AMN development.
For known , later AMN development will also be carried out by BIN in synergy with Ministry of Education and Culture and involve Kemenpora as well as provincial government local .
The AMN development that has been completed deserves the highest appreciation. Not only will it be able to be a solution for students regarding the difficulty of finding housing, but even more than that, namely the spirit of unity and oneness in the breath of Bhinneka Tunggal Ika will truly be represented there because in it it does not discriminate at all between students from anywhere can become a container so that it is a reflection of the Indonesian nation itself.
