West Manggarai — A number of community leaders expressed their full support for the successful holding of the 2023 ASEAN Summit in Labuan Bajo.
One of the supports came from the Head of the West Manggarai PHRI BPC, Silvester Wanggel.
“I, together with the management of the West Manggarai PHRI BPC, fully support the implementation of the 42nd ASEAN Summit in 2023 in Labuan Bajo,” he said.
He also hopes that this international scale event can run with full conduciveness.
“Hopefully the implementation of the ASEAN Summit can run smoothly, safely and successfully,” said Silvester.
Also, he also appealed to the public to come to Labuan Bajo so they can enjoy the natural beauty and tourism of the region.
“Let’s go to Labuan Bajo, what are you waiting for,” said the Head of the PHRI BPC.
Support from other community leaders for the 2023 ASEAN Summit came from the Head of the Traditional House of the Other Indigenous Peoples, Hendrikus Jempo.
Not only personally supporting, but he even invited the wider community to support the 2023 ASEAN Summit.
“As community leaders, we invite the people of West Manggarai to join hands in supporting the implementation of the ASEAN Summit in Labuan Bajo,” he said.
Furthermore, Hendrikus then reminded the public not to be easily provoked by hoax news.
“I also remind the people of West Manggarai not to believe that various rumors and fake news (hoaxes) are created and spread by certain individuals with the aim of disrupting and even thwarting the ASEAN Summit activities in Labuan Bajo,” he added.
Preparations for the ASEAN Summit 2023 in Labuan Bajo itself are being carried out by many related parties.
In order to support the success of the event, PLN UIW NTT General Manager, I Gede Agung Sindu Putra stated that his party had prepared 7 SPKLU fast charging.
With the preparation of the SPKLU, it is intended to support the use of electric vehicles during the event.
