Anies Compares the Development Era of SBY and Jokowi, KSP: Look at it from a Broad Perspective
Jakarta — The Presidential Staff Office (KSP) responded to a statement issued by the future presidential candidate (Bacapres) Anies Baswedan who had compared road construction during the administration of Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono (SBY) with Jokowi.
In this regard, KSP Main Expert Ade Irfan Pulungan stated that the comparison presented by Anies was a partial viewpoint and was not based on overall data.
Therefore, according to him, it should be if in assessing a government development it must be seen from a broad perspective, namely the President’s goal is definitely to develop the welfare of the Indonesian people.
“All developments carried out by the government, whoever the president is, must be seen from his point of view, this is part of developing Indonesia and making the people prosperous,” he said.
“That’s the way it should be thought. So don’t think in a partial way,” he said.
Precisely according to Ade Irfan, during the Jokowi era, a lot of road infrastructure developments were built and the good impact was felt by the community.
One example is the construction of toll roads which have been able to help the people’s economy and business actors who really need connectivity between regions quickly.
This is because the toll road itself is a link between regions so that it can speed up the transportation and delivery of goods from one region to another.
“Road users can be anyone, whether it’s the general public or business needs. So, if business needs, of course, you need speed of time, right? He connects from one place to another,” he explained.
Even so far, no one has objected to the construction of toll roads during the Jokowi era and has received a lot of appreciation because they are considered to make it easier.
He then appealed that all kinds of narratives conveyed to the public should not be partial so that the development of this nation would be better.
“So the narration of the thoughts should not be partial like that. We should want to build this republic together from Sabang to Merauke, from Rote Island to Miangas,” he concluded.
It is known that previously there was a narrative from Anies which compared that during SBY’s era, there were more free road constructions than during Jokowi’s era.
“Compared with Pak SBY’s time, the road that was not paid for was 144 thousand km or 7.5 times as much. When compared to this government’s national road, it was 590 km, 10 years previously it was 11 thousand km. 20 times. We haven’t talked about quality, standards, that’s just long,” said Anies.
